> 3 daySadly, this is the last review I will be writing for these Beatles releases on CD Maximum. The sound quality on the re-masters is so vastly superior to these Russian releases that I cannot, in good conscience, give out any more positive reviews for them, in spite of their nice packaging and bonus tracks. If you want to buy some of the Beatles US releases without buying the Capitol Masters boxes, the CD-M releases of the US Capitol albums are still a viable alternative. That being said, this release of both US and UK issues of Help! Are a nice coupling of the original Beatles songs, and the songs and instrumental material recorded for the film. The UK version is half made up of songs from the soundtrack, half separate Beatles compositions. The group really came into their own on this album - this is where The Beatles cease to be just another British pop combo. Help! is where the Beatles venture into the hall of legends, and its a joy to listen to from start to finish. On the US version of the album, the title track has a James Bond-esque orchestral intro missing from the UK version. For many early Capitol Beatles albums, the overall sound and stereo mixes were tweaked for the American market - for example, reverb was added to some early releases. The practice of adding reverb stopped after Beatles VI. The tweaked stereo mixes, however, continued until the release of Revolver. On Help!, Capitol created a unique `Duophonic mix of Ticket To Ride, despite the fact that this song was available in true stereo - another fascinating inconsistency that makes the US Capitol releases interesting listening. As far as sound quality goes, these are about the same quality as the original 1987 CD release of the Beatles catalog. Nothing to write home about, but the liner motes preserve the original artwork for both releases, as well as several bonus outtakes from the Help! sessions. I would recommend this over the original 1987 CD release, but it cant hold a candle to the re-masters. If you own either the Capitol Masters box #2 or the new Help! re-master, you dont need this.

> 3 dayI’ve watched this movie on digital platforms such as Disney+ and VUDU and I’ve watched it on Blu-ray countless times. But I must say watching this movie on Blu-ray 3D was simply spectacular. The clarity and depth made for a totally different and awesome experience. I wrestled with myself wondering if I should purchase the 3D version and I can’t see myself enjoying it in any other way. One of my favorite films now in 3D. However I did have to change my tv setting to expand the border image so I wouldn’t see flickering on the outer rim of the screen. Once I changed that it made for an amazing experience!!!
