Purchased this 1 7/8 for my 2005 4Runner even though it said it would NOT fit. Fit just fine except the pinhole for the NEW cotter pin was 90 degrees different from my older Toyota 2 ball hitch. So I just used my old 2 hitch pin for this new hitch. If you dont have a current hitch for 4Runner already then dont purchased or you can drill a new hole 90 degrees from the current hole on the new pin to fit your 4Runner.

I love this item. It fit perfectly into my hitch and secured completely. Love the value and how hefty it is

This is a nice hitch, I installed it on my new Curt receiver on my Subaru Forester. Ive only pulled an 8 foot utility trailer with it but there were no problems.

Its a trailer hitch that does what it is supposed to do. Comes with the pin.

Bought a Curt Manufacturing trailer hitch for my 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe, and it seemed like a good idea to buy the same brand ball mount, to ensure there would be absolutely no complications. So far the ball mount has lived up to expectations, and worked flawlessly. Good, solid product at a good price.

Some utility trailers have the smaller ball like this one 1 7/8 vs the 2 ball that is commonly sold. This is top quality. The description message said it was incompatible with my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but if you have a hitch mount that has a 2 square opening, this works perfectly! Just fit it in (make sure all your bolts on the hitch mounted to your vehicle are tight too), then insert your bolt and lock pin. Next you just plug in your electric harness to your trailer or camper, and you are good to go (provided you make sure your towing capacity is in line with what is on your trailer hitch mount and what your vehicle handbook states that you can haul safely). Good quality and built to last. One tip: get a rubber cover for the ball to help prevent corrosion (or just remove the ball mount when not in use).
