> 3 dayWe had a dampness and rust problem with our wood stove during the Summer. The wood stove was cold from air conditioning, while the outside was hot and humid. This caused the hot, humid air to enter the wood stove, condense, and then trigger rust. I placed a refill in a shallow pan which I then put at the bottom of the wood stove. The refill absorbed all of the humidity and thwarted the rust problem.

17-11-2024I dont have a problem with the product. My comment is that the packing job was lazy - the box that holds the product was smashed on top and bottom - luckily no damage to contents. Why are some employees putting items in envelopes with no packing material - this item is heavy enough that it needs to be in a small box with some packing material.

> 3 dayHalf of my moms house has a lot of moisture and doesnt get a lot of sun, and her closet is on that side. She had mildew in her closet we cleaned it out, scrubbed the walls and put one of the damp rid containers in and it hasnt come back. Its been a few years since weve had to scrub the walls clean. As long as we remember to empty the container and refill it were good. Havent had any problems since we started using these.

> 3 dayI ordered these refills to replace the fragrance crystals I bought by mistake. I never realized just how much moisture was in my house, especially at the top of the stairs by the bathroom. Now that summer has arrived, there is even more moisture and DampRid sucks up all of it. The fragrance versions of this product are a bit too overwhelming for me for where I use them, so I do prefer the fragrance free version. Very happy with the product.

> 3 dayWe got the DampRid about few months ago to put in our master bedroom walk-in closet, which is connected to our bathroom (though separated by a door) and the absorbing unit was almost full of water after 3 to 4 months of use with the original absorbing pouch. I would never have thought that there would be that much moisture in a walk-in closet - and we keep the door closed all the time too (and live in a place thats dry in the summer months). So Im glad we got the DampRid. After dumping out the water, I left the original pouch in the unit. It still absorbed moisture, but at a much slower rate than before. So I got the refill packs and it definitely helped absorb more moisture compared to the 3-4 month old pouch. I do think the 4-pack refill was slightly cheaper at Bed, Bath, and Beyond if you have one of their 20% off coupon. But theres no sales tax on Amazon where Im from. Its definitely worth it though.

> 3 dayI bought one of those fancy automatic trash cans for the kitchen that you wave your hand over to open (no touching gross can!) The problem was since its closed all the time and some garbage is wet, the inside of the lid had a lot of condensation on it. Every time I opened the top, water dripped all over and...eew. just EEW! I bought the refill packs and taped one to the inside of the trash can with packing tape! Haha! It totally solved my drippy can lid issue! Will definitely repurchase when I run out.

> 3 dayMy only advice is to check them daily if you have a lot of humidity. I failed to do this and the crystals were lost within the water drawn from the air. These are a tremendous help for us basement dwellers. I opted for No Scent because I defuse 100% pure essential oils into the air to ward off uninvited guests from the boiler room, and it works.

Greater than one weekThe box was damaged and taped with lots of tape. There should be 4 packs but one of the packs was missing. I am not happy to have to return the Damp Rid item but I have no choice since it is not the item described in the ad.
