It definitely helped my basement odor

I purchased this product to see if there was moisture in the house. It works and pulled water. I purchased a Scented box, I thought it would have last longer than my initial contact with the pouch.

After moving from California to North Carolina, we noticed that our clothes felt damp and sometimes a little musty. DampRid fixed that. We put them in the closets and laundry room. One note: if they leak onto leather shoes, they will damage them beyond repair, so watch what is beneath them.

I tried another more economical brand only to be disappointed so I had to go back to DampRid because it works. I hang it in both my sons and my closets which are down in a daylight basement that does get more moisture due to living in the Pacific Northwest and our consistent rain and moisture. I know its working because I can see the water collecting in the bag. It provides a nice laundry fresh scent for clothes and closet. I wish I could say that other bargain brands work as effectively but this one is the best for my needs.

I bought these for my finished walk-out basement, which has a musty smell, especially after heavy rains. The package comes with three units, all three of which I hung around different areas of my basement, all at the same time. They are absolutely a no-brainer to use, you just remove the outer plastic wrap and hang them up somewhere using the attached hanger (which is like a plastic clothes hanger). At first, they have a rather strong perfumed scent, but it dissipates after 1-3 days. The clear bag at the bottom gradually fills with water as the charcoal bag above draws moisture from the air. Theres a line on the clear bag that tells you when the DampRid bag is full and needs to be discarded. I bought this on July 17 and by Aug 23 was approximately 4/5-full, so they last at least a month, maybe longer, depending on how much moisture is in the space. My basement also smells less musty with these hanging around. Would recommend.

I keep these in all my closets , laundry room and garage! Awesome product! They work and fill up fast . I keep having to replace as they fill up with the liquid fast here in Texas!
