Update: I’ve been watching these to purchase more. The price has nearly doubled. Hold off on buying if you can. Price increase is ridiculous. These are not worth $16-$17 for a box of three. 4 star for price increase. Such a shame. I’m glad I have extra in stock when price was lower & more reasonable. At the price Amazon is selling these at Walmart is selling much cheaper. I ordered 4 boxes of these which come as a 3 pack. Definitely worth every penny. I have them hanging in my closets & various other places like my laundry room & bathroom. I was shockingly surprised how much moisture this bag absorbs. I had no idea such moisture existed in these areas especially my clothes closet. The salt type substance at the top forms into water at the bottom. It’s durable enough to hold a good amount of water that it captures. I was afraid one would break hanging since it gets pretty heavy once almost full but the design is perfectly made to keep all in place. The scent is a bit strong at first but you get use to it. They are very easy to hang as I’ve hung one with a thumbtack or choose to use the nicely designed hanger for a closet which is durable. My pictures reflect one in the beginning stages of capturing moisture. The 3rd picture is one hanging in my closet to give you a good idea of one that is almost full. What a grand idea to absorb moisture during these humid months in areas where a dehumidifier isn’t possible to have. I love everything about them! I’ve ordered extras to have on hand as sometimes they’ve gone out of stock.

Dont ask me to explain *how* it works, but it definitely works. This one is already filling up and its only been up for like 2 weeks. I live in Georgia where it is very humid, and I like to take a lot of showers, so these things were made for me! This is the second set Ive had.

Damp Rid does a very good job absorbing moisture from the air. Lasts quite awhile before it needs to be changed.

Only one little complaint - the unscented bag still has scent. I cannot hang a DampRid bag in a family member’s bedroom, because that person sometimes has breathing problems. I hung the bag in a nearby room, and, as you can see from the photo, it really does work. The bags are perfect for the basement too. You could hang the bags and/or use the large DampRid pail for large spaces, but ***do not remove or puncture the paper cover, like I did.** I’m going to dispose of the damaged one. I’ve bought the bags several times for the basement alone. It greatly improves that musty, stagnant stale air smell, and even though we have dehumidifiers working 24/7 in the basement, the DampRid bags still remove water. If there is any risk of mold in your dwelling, get these bags and see just how much water they remove. Mold loves stagnant air, darkness and moisture. If you have pet birds, or other pets, check with your vet first, before using DampRid. Birds have very delicate respiratory systems, are highly sensitive to many scents, and birds can be injured or die by artificial scents. Ask you vet if the crystals in the pail are safe around other animals. It is a nightmare to remove a large mold infestation. I wish I had known about DampRid years ago. I highly recommended these bags. They are a bit pricey, but well worth it to help avoid mold.

my basement is damp. i run dehumidifier, but it doesn’t reach laundry room/closet. hung one of these up & absolutely love how easy it is & how well it has worked…best thing is, don’t have to empty like dehumidifier. hang this & when it is full, throw it away & hang new one.

One day while getting something in the back of my closet I was horrified to find everything covered and a thin layer of fuzzy mildew and mold. We had had a leak under the house in this area and apparently the moisture rose up through the floorboards into my closet. We had to throw a lot of clothing and shoes away and had to find a solution to help absorb the rest of the moisture in the air. We have been using this product now ever cents and get a full bag of water after about a month or two of a new one hanging in our closet. Our closet is attached to our bathroom and shower and an older house so we also have the problem of high moisture due to that. Pretty sure I’m going to use these forever in his closet to avoid the nightmare we once had.
