Greater than one weekI loved this toothpaste. I really did! Always made my mouth feel very clean and fresh. However, the metal tube made it a nightmare to use every day. The metal would break and become sharp at the seams, leak toothpaste, and honestly became a huge, sticky mess by the end of it. It was a complete sensory overload. The metal key that came with it didn’t help with this issue either. I used it all though because the toothpaste really is great. Super minty! If I were to buy again, I would definitely immediately put it in a new container or something.

> 3 dayI dontknow about these yahoos saying this toothpaste is overly abrasive. That is just not true. There is no gritty feel when brushing, it does not brush off your enamel. It stregthens it. I have seen people saying they get brown spots for using this toothpaste...Really????? I checked with my dentist re toothpaste with too much grit. The answer was quite simple, if it feels gritty with large particles then that is too gritty. This toothpaste does not and my teeth feel smoother than before after using this product indicating strong enamel - after brushing. I find it superior to boka, which I also like.

> 3 dayFor under $10 for 5.25 ounces, this may be the least expensive hydroxyapatite toothpaste I’ve found on Amazon, yet with one of the best ingredients lists. I appreciate the recyclable tube and the key to eliminate any waste, however when I put the key on my first tube, it sliced right through the tube! Fortunately, once I started rolling the end, the cut only leaked a little toothpaste until I rolled over it. I’ll be more careful putting it on next time. I agree with other reviewers it would be nice to have an unflavored or at least non-mint flavor. Mint flavor really messes with my taste buds and makes any acidic type of fruit or fruit juice taste bad. For this reason, I will continue to buy Squigle to use some of the time. One more criticism, I think this formulation is too runny, and would prefer a slightly stiffer paste. Update: now that I’ve used up a tube, I report that the key and metal tube don’t work well for me. It has been difficult to flatten the tube in an orderly way, and the key was hard to use. I think it will leave more unused product inside than a flexible plastic tube does, but since it’s less expensive per ounce than other good remineralizing toothpastes, I probably still come out ahead, and still get to recycle the tube, unlike plastic tubes. I probably won’t use the key next time, though, and in any case since I already have one, I wish they had the option to omit it from the order.

> 3 dayI recently made the switch from to Davids because I wanted to maintain the enamel strengthening I saw with Bokas NHA toothpaste but also wanted a more clean mouth feel. This is the best of both worlds, leaving my breath fresh and whitening my teeth (they were already pretty white) in a matter of weeks. The only thing that could be improved upon is the lid. Because the toothpaste is liquidy and inside a metal tube, when you unscrew the cap and squeeze you get enough for your toothbrush and then too much extra. Theres no way to quickly seal the cap and so some toothpaste can end up wasted. If the cap were redesigned with some kind of silicon spout instead so you can better limit the amount that comes out, Id highly recommend to friends.

> 3 dayI got this tooth paste because it was more affordable than my other non toxic toothpaste. It works well, and within a week of using it people complimented me on my white teeth. The bottle is a little messy which can get annoying. But over all I’d buy it again!

> 3 daySeems pretty good. The mint is too strong, stinging and makes my eyes water when I brush my teeth. Otherwise seems to work good for a toothpaste maybe tone it down a bit with the peppermint

> 3 dayTeeth are noticeably less sensitive, a hint whiter, and definitely feel stronger (remineralized) after my first tube. I also love that it’s not in plastic… the metal roller is an easy concept especially if you used to use them in art class before ;) … Regarding people saying they have dry lips and rashes on their face, it’s only meant to stay in your mouth kids and you need only a pea sized amount. It’s also ideal if you don’t rinse with water, according to the holistic dentists; it has a better chance at remineralizing and doing its job.

07-06-2025Im on my second tube of Davids toothpaste. I believe my gums are less sensitive, which is great, but I struggle with the runny nature of this product. It keeps oozing out after applying to the brush and squishes out beyond the cap, getting all over everything else in my drawer. I may have to store it upright in a drinking cup. The tube is also hard to work with if you are not trained to start a new tube by always pushing from the very bottom up, then using the tool to roll it upward. Its not as easy to do as it sounds with a metal tube. I find the metal also does not want to smooth out once its been squeezed opposite the bottom-up method. It certainly would be easier with a conventional (plastic?) tube, like most commercial toothpastes. I do like the taste of this toothpaste and how the product works, but work still needs to be done on the tube itself and thickening the toothpaste a bit. Hydroxyapatite is far better than fluoride, so I will keep using this, despite the steep price. Also of positive mention is that it is 5.2 ounces, not a 3.4 ounce tiny tube like the other hydroxyapatite toothpastes out there. That matters a lot to purchasers.

> 3 dayTastes great. I like the rolling pin they included. Good to know there is no fluoride and other chemicals in it. I really like the metal tube and had no issues with it. Keep in mind metal tubes need to be worked slowly to prevent too much toothpaste from coming out at once. Im guessing those that are experiencing enamel erosion are using too much or brushing too vigorously. You only need a small amount. This tube should last you a long time.
