> 3 daySo far everything works great. I like the look of the fabric top. I was worried about the buttons being under the fabric, but they have a nice feel with a very responsive click. I was looking for a reasonably priced projector but still quality enough for outdoor movies. Im happy with it.

> 3 dayWe’ve used the projector once so far to watch a movie outside. Because of the high luminescence of it, we were able to start watching during dusk. The picture quality is so good that we plan to use it as our main “tv”, replacing our 60” led tv. If it’s too much hassle to take down after we mount it, we’ll probably by another to use outside.

> 3 dayUpdated July 9, 2021: Tech support saw my original review and proactively contacted me to upgrade their projector SW/Firmware. The upgrade fixed both the Aux-out volume (now we have cinema sound) and IOS mirror issue. I have adjusted the product rating accordingly. Now its a great projector which i would recommend you purchase/try. Thanks again to tech-support for helping me out. Original Review: Indoor video and sound is very good to excellent. Will test outdoors later and adjust rating as needed. Knocked off 1 star because IOS Mirroring did not work for me. Knocked off 2nd star because AuxOut to speaker lowered the external speaker volume. It does not seem to have enough juice from Aux out for the 2 different speakers I tried which eliminates cinema experience potential.

> 3 dayQuality is great for the price. Volume is a little low but I used a surround system to perpetuate the sound. I would recommend to others.

> 3 dayWe have used this a few times over the summer. Built in speaker is ok as long as not much other noise is around. Picture quality and brightness are great. Had problems playing content and connecting from some newer devices. Overall, satisfied with the projector.

> 3 dayThis projector performs well above its price range. We use it while camping, and use an Amazon FireStick for media streaming. The internal speaker setup is adequate for us within about a 15’ area, and even project through a screen window sometimes (depending on best placement options for the projector screen). No complaints whatsoever for HD video streaming, and it connects quickly and easily to Wifi networks. The manual keystone feature is very nice for an outdoor/mobile setup, and the easy-adjust focus dial on the front makes setup super easy. We have used this at least 20 times since purchase and are always content/complimented on how clean and crisp the video is. The carry case is very handy and has enough storage to secure the projector, Amazon FireStick, cords/cables and both remotes. If you’re shopping for a projector in this price range, just get this one.

> 3 dayAs you can see from the photos I have posted comparing my old projector to this one, the new one is much brighter and has a crisper picture. I have not adjusted any settings on the new projector for the comparison photos I took, so right out of the box you get incredible quality for two hundred-ish dollars! I recommend this projector. Definitely better than our last one.

Greater than one weekIm awaiting my 3rd RD828 ! Perhaps my expectations are too high for what is after all, a budget projector. Im almost sure they are, as i have a high level home theater in a dedicated room using a great Epson projector. I wanted to use a budget LED projector to project a pc based golf simulation program in my game room. The RD828 seemed like it would fit that bill adequately, but although it is strong in some areas, quality control is not one of them. Both units i returned showed artifacts on screen that are evidence of poor assembly environmental cleanliness - Read, not assembled in a clean room ! Hairs and dead pixels that could be dirt, probably on an internal lens, were visible on the screen, and once seen, thats all i could see ! Im hoping the 3rd sample does not have these issues, because I like several things about this unit. The picture is very close to correctly focused in all 4 corners, while the center image is focused, which is hard for a budget LED to achieve. I tried a Nexigo PJ20 first and it was terrible in this regard. With that unit, you could have the center or the corners focused, but not both ! Light output is ok in a semi dark room, but as is to be expected, any ambient light washes it out. 4 corner keystone correction works amazingly well, as does digital zoom reduction. Ill update, if the 3rd time becomes a charm :) Dropped to a one star. 3rd one had something rattling around inside it and picture was the worst yet. I give up on this one unfortunately. It showed promise, but unless im being extremely unlucky, quality control is non existent.

04-06-2025The projector worked great and was everything I expected. The quality of the picture was good and very light weight. Only think I would suggest it providing carrying case but that is just me being picky. We use it for outdoor movie nights.

> 3 dayAll I can say is WOW! I got this mainly for outdoor use and watching movies with the family in the backyard in summer. This is a perfect projector that meets all the needs I had. I wanted something that could stream content to wirelessly without having to bring out a computer or other source. It does both iOS cast and Miracast. I successfully streamed movies from an iPhone12 using Plex and also from a Windows 10 PC using screen projection wirelessly. Both worked great. The iOS Cast was a little jittery from time to time but it seemed to only occur if I was using the iPhone at the same time so it seemed to be related to the iPhone and not the projector. From Miracast it was flawless. Taking this outside I was utterly surprised at how good the picture looked projecting onto a beige stucco wall. All the attached pictures are on the exterior of our house without a screen! I thought I would definitely need to get a screen setup but I may not even have to with this projector when used outdoors. I am sure it will look even better with one though. I also had to adjust the image a little bit to get it to fit just right on the wall between 2 windows and this projector had built in digital keystone and zoom features that made it easy, as well as an adjustable focus lens. Also, the built in audio was amazing. I did not expect to even use it, but I couldnt believe how loud it gets. It will actually work great for outdoor use and eliminates the need to stream the audio to another device. Pros: -Very good price -Very bright and looks great without a screen -Lots of adjustments: Manual keystone (attached image shows keystone adjustment), ceiling/floor mount, focusing lens, digital zoom. -Great sound -remote is easy to use -Casting wirelessly is very easy to setup (both iOS and Miracast) -USB ports on back for powering a Fire Stick or TiVo Strick -HDMI inputs -Sturdy and well built -Comes with A/V cables Cons -Did not come with batteries for the remote -Fan noise seemed a bit loud at first but once a movie was on and the volume was up, it was not a distraction at all
