This belt worked perfect. Make absolutely sure you install the belt correctly - use belt guide diagram on mower. Most mower decks have two idler pulleys. One is used to adjust static belt tension and will lock into place with wrench. The other pulley is attached to the mower engagement lever. When installing belt over engine pulley, use a socket wrench to rotate engine when installing onto engine pulley - its a very tight fit. For the first 20-30 minutes of mowing the blades may rotate without engaging the lever, this is normal. After initial break-in (30-40 min of mowing), the engagement lever can be used as normal and mower blades will stop rotating when dis-engaged.

Used it for most of the 2020 grass cutting season. Has survived without issue (Other belts have torn themselves apart much quicker). It really is blue like they say and seems to be very strong....

When I replace v-belts I like to use Kevlar v-belts as they seem to be more durable and last longer. The deck belt is a little harder to replace than the mower deck drive belt or the tractor dive belt but it isnt to tough to replace. I have had this Craftsman 46 inch mower since new for 23 years and still runs good and works good so I dont mind buying the best replacement parts for it as I always have. 2nd time replacing the mower deck belt on this mower and the price for this Kevlar v-belt is hard to beat and it seems to be of good quality and well made.

Perfect fit on my Craftsman LT000. Old belt was stretched and it always slipped off. So far this one is working as it should.

DO NOT BUY!!! This is NOT a true 144959 belt. A 144959 belt is 95.5” long where this one is only 96” long!! Not only will it be extremely difficult to install but it will be so tight that your mower deck will not turn off. This product needs to have its product code changed because IT IS NOT THE CORRECT LENGTH. Installed and made one pass on my lawn and the belt snapped. If you know you need a 95” belt then this will work for you but if you need a legitimate 144959 belt BUY ELSEWHERE!!!

Works very well

I purchase a lawn mower deck belt and it only cut 1 acre which wasnt that long and it broke. I was very unhappy over this.

Am using it on my mower. Only time will tell how it holds up. But so far so good.
