> 3 dayThe machine is not silent. It does make a humming sound. While its not loud, its not something I want to listen to all the time so I will be returning this and looking for another option. UPDATE: the seller sent me a replacement product. In the meantime I had purchased a similar product made by Pohll Schmitt. I guess no dehu is completely silent - while the replacement product does still have a humming sound, I can say it is quieter than the competitor.

> 3 dayThis and another dehumidifier are the best I have one in my bedroom closet, master bathroom, and kitchen. I live in SW Florida and it is a must to get rid of musty odors. Thank you Seavon for your consistency and reliability. Also, the product arrived early I also recommend to friends.

> 3 dayBought this for my small bathroom with no ventilation. I take very hot showers and the steam is gone in no time! Incredibly effective for how little room it takes up on my counter. The only problem is you cant change the target humidity settings, so since I live in a humid climate (North Texas) it will run forever unless I turn it off manually. But I dont even care, it works so well

> 3 dayA quality Dehumidifiers that works great for small spaces. This Seavon Dehumidifiers worked great in one of my bathrooms that does not have ventilation. There is no set up needed. You take it out of the box and plug it in and it was up and running. It is nice and quiet and takes up such little space. It started collecting water right away. The water container is decent size, 27 OZ, so you dont have to worry about emptying too often. If you do forget to empty dont worry as the dehumidifier will automatically shut off when the tank is full. It is nice and light so easy to move around. You cant beat the price. Makes sense for different areas i will be purchasing another.

> 3 dayI don’t like or dislike it. I live in a small apartment so I know this doesn’t work for the entire space but it seemed to help keep the room humors down if we kept all the doors shut during the day. Have to empty the water catch every 3 days or so. Will probably upgrade to something bigger though to fit my own needs

> 3 dayUpdate! It did take a few attempts and a negative review from me but customer support reached out to me via email and sent a new unit as it was still under warranty. Nancy was very friendly and asked for screenshots of the emails I sent so they could troubleshoot, hopefully that area improves as the product itself is excellent. It worked very well for us and I will likely order a second unit now that the warranty issue and lack of communication has been resolved in this situation. If you are looking for exceptional customer service then I would choose another product. I purchased this product last November, it comes with a year warranty, it suddenly stopped working in October of this year. I have reached out to customer service weekly since it stopped working to inquire on a reset or possible replacement. I have not received any communication back at all which is frustrating and the only way I have found to contact is by an email directly linked on their Amazon page. Overall the product worked well until it suddenly quit and if customer service had reached back out to any of my attempts to email then I wouldn’t have left a negative review but seeing as they have not provided any communication at all it would appear that they don’t honor their warranty so if customer service and warranties are important to yuh then I would keep scrolling for a different product.

> 3 dayI got this and I was hesitant but I’m so gladly surprised with how good and efficient it is! I have a garage office and I work with many different types of inks and paper so controlling humidity is key, and this little thing has been a life saver! Love it!

> 3 dayThe product worked great for three months. Two days ago, the water tank was a little difficult to remove. After emptying, the tank was replaced. A day later, water dripped onto the table. The unit pulled water out of the air, but 1) it was not going directly into the tank and 2) the tank could not be opened for water removal. Without tipping the unit completely upside down, as much of the water was poured out and the unit sat overnight on the counter. The next morning the tank could easily be removed and replaced. It was plugged back on for another 24 hours. The unit pulled water out, but he amount was less than usual. The tank was, again, difficult to pull out, but was gently pulled out. The discovery: the tank could not be removed due to ice on the coils. The temperature of the room was 56 degrees, too cold for a dehumidifier to work. When the temperature was above 58 degrees, the unit worked great. Gave a 4-star rating (not 5) because this is a rating for 3 months use. However, based on this, I recommend this SEAVON Dehumidifier for the price around $35 over purchasing the moisture absorbing crystals (which I also use.) You do, however, have to empty the tank. (It supposedly has an automatic shut-off, but I did not let it get that filled, so it cant be commented upon.)

> 3 dayI live in an old house, and the bathroom is VERY narrow. My S.O. loves to take looong, extra-hot showers; before getting this dehumidifier we were constantly having to wipe down the walls and ceilings to prevent mold spots. This machine has been a game-changer! I was initially skeptical because the unit is so small but we get no condensation (even after one of those marathon showers). The dehumidifier is so super-quiet I forget that its running, and the tank capacity is impressive given how small the unit is, I appreciate not having to constantly worry about emptying the tank.

> 3 dayHonestly, I do not have anything to compare this to. BUT! I can say it works really well. It does exactly what it says. Except it’s not quiet. The first few times you can barely hear it and then it gets louder and louder. It would be ridiculous to compare it to the noise of a swamp cooler, but since I have both, it’s ALMOST as overwhelming. I do have a small house which means I’m “close” to it basically anywhere I sit. If you have a larger home, maybe the sound will drift into the background nicely. Who knows. Also, the power button seems to be more of a suggestion? I try to turn it off constantly (when I can’t take the noise anymore) and it just doesn’t shut up. When I finally do get it to turn off, the fan continues running. After about 5 minutes, I get frustrated and just unplug it. (Of course this could be specific to mine) I’m giving it a 5 star because this thing pulls water out of your house at quite a high rate. I’m constantly emptying the basin. It’s insane! And I enjoy the very soft “full” chime. The design is beautiful, the castors are super nice and it does it’s job without complications. Set it and forget it. I do recommend this! The rate it pulls water out is worth every penny. I do recommend this particular one for larger homes and I wouldn’t suggest it being in a bedroom (noise) but hey! If you’re humidity is too high, this is your answer.
