    Laptop is as described, no complaints there. Only issue I have is that basic Dell warranty is not one year. It is about 9 months. I guess I am luckier than the one who would buy it a month later and have only 8 months of basic warranty.

    Set up was pretty easy and favorites etc. came in with no issues. Screen color seems a little off from my prior HP. Only issue I have at the moment is trying to use a lap-desk with it, laptop just slides off of it due to the section of screen had hangs below the laptop when open - very annoying;

    This is a good price for this quality of a Dell laptop. i5 11 gen processor, 16 gb Ram, 512 SSD. I really enjoy this laptop. Its more than capable for my use. I am not a gamer and use it for personal business.

    I will not be ordering expensive equipment like this from Amazon again. Lesson learned. Long story short, I work for a very small non-profit in a rural community. We hired our first employee outside of my position and I purchased a laptop for them to use. The employee started a few weeks after I bought the laptop and started using it minimally (basically just email and internet searches). As his workload and responsibilities increased, he needed to use the laptop more. I ordered him a wireless mouse and keyboard. When we went to plug in the devices, none of the three USB ports worked. We tried various USB devices and no luck. At first I thought it was user error and tried to problem solve, eventually realizing that they just dont work. It is now about 2.5 months since I received the laptop and I called to see if I can get it fixed or replaced. Amazon connected me with the seller and they said nothing they can do because it is outside of the 30 day window. After, I spoke with Amazon and asked if they would provide a replacement and they declined, as well. So...now we have a laptop with no USB connectivity. Basically, we just have to deal with it. I am disappointed and expected better. I understand they have policies about returns, but we clearly received a defective laptop and replacing it for us was the right thing to do.

    Laptop was fine for the warranty period then maybe a month out of warranty the screen started separating. I’ve owned many laptops before (mostly Dell) and never had a problem with this. See pic. Also google Inspiron 15 3511 hinge issue for more reports of this issue. Seems like the hinges are too tight and/or the hinge attachment to the lid is weak. There is a diy fix but it looks fairly involved and that is not how I prefer to spend my free time - working on something that shouldn’t have broken in the first place. Since this damage occurred I’m afraid to open or shut the lid as that may cause further damage. Buyer beware.

    I picked up this laptop for my wife and its quick to start up and operate which fixed the problem with her old laptop. No trouble getting things set up. Would recommend.
