Dell Optiplex 7040 Business SFF Computer Small Tower PC (Intel Core i5-6500, 16GB Ram, 256GB SSD, DVD-RW, WiFi) Win 10 Pro (Renewed)

I am using this product for a month and was working fine. All the sudden one day it starts booting and say “Alert! Hard drive or optical drive not found.”

Inexpensive and totally met my office needs. I got it within a week. Great value and would buy again.

I love this item, it is fast and ready to go with quickness. From the time i hit the start button i am logged in and running into my work space in a matter of 20 seconds. I am fortunate to be able to work from home in this pandemic but i needed something that can handle my daily multi tasking needs. I have to use dual monitors for work so this meets my needs. I have connected up to three monitors and it works flawlessly. Currently using dual monitors because i ran out of table space but i am glad i have the option to use a third. Im using this as a NAS for cameras, video AI, and home automation. I added a second hard drive for the NAS functionality and a graphics card for the AI, and the machine has been a rock solid performer for my needs. If you need a small server with a small footprint or simple budget desktop, this is a good value. Mine came with a keyboard, mouse and power cable. Since Im using it as a server I didnt use the keyboard or mouse so I have no comment on their quality.

Bottom end PSU 180w. (Not a good base for gaming upgrade on the cheap) is a Dell server PSU with a power splice to the dvd. The cleaned & wrapped in vinyl to look new(?), As well as an attempted repasting of the CPU... However they didnt clean the old paste off first. First refurb I have ever purchased without obvious fingerprints or dust. Vinyl, I kinda like the touch.. but repasting over old paste is an absolute failure as it adds heat. ( Heat bad). Bent pins on the motherboard. ( Think touching battery jumper cables together.. much bad. ) , Sketchy af ssd- no spec no name without dram & ancient controller. Id prefer a hdd to this.

I received a refurbished dell computer from SJ computers and immediately after starting it up I was having problems with loading most apps ,I had trouble with the PC just randomly encountering an error and restarting ,this would happen a few times a day. I requested a replacement to be sent and I would return the one I had. All they did was keep calling Me from different numbers and all times of the day and asking Me to fix it. I dont know a lot about computers and They expected Me to do all types of stuff that I really didnt have the time to try and figure out. I assumed They tested these things if They are refurbishing them, I could be wrong. After waiting 4-5 days for them to Email Me a return Shipping label I requested a refund and amazon approved it. I sent it back and got My money back. Would not recommend this seller based on this experience.

I had to ship my $2000 computer to the manufacturer for repair (I hope), so I ordered this one first. $165, and it really does run like new. Way to go Refurbanana.

got this as a base for a gaming build for my daughter. Plays Roblox and other simple games out the box with the onboard graphics. Simply add a graphics card and boom, youve got an entry level gaming computer for 300 $. will be buying another soon for the wife!

It’s a good PC if you need it just for basic stuff. Specs listed below: 16GB DDR4-2133MHZ (I upgraded to Crucial 16GB-3200 MHZ) 256 SSD-(I replaced since it was not the best quality) I5-6500-Preety good for everything but gaming Don’t get this if you want to game since it is not that good. Just for business work etc.

Got it for my son to install Linux. Came with windows 10. Runs super smooth with pre installed windows.. Mint Linux installed flawlessly. Condition is good considering that it is refurbished. Excellent value for the price. Will buy again.
