As others have stated this is not the level of refurbished I was expecting. The USB Thunderbolt cable was held together with packing tape poorly. I removed it cleaned the plastic shell while carefully making sure the strain relief in the cable was correct. I then closed out the connector with black heat shrink so you wouldnt even know that was not how it was supposed to look. This is much stronger than some packing tape and should prevent the fatigue failure most people have with the device. I am under the impression the repair was probably done by the previous owner and the reseller just checks if it works and ships it out the door. For the price though... Ill still give it 4 stars overall.

I dont know whether the problem was due to it being refurbished or just a product design, but I couldnt get this station to drive two monitors at 1080p resolution. If I only connected one monitor (either through HDMI or DP) it was fine and operated at full resolution, so it wasnt a cable or monitor problem. But the moment I connected monitors to both of these ports simultaneously, one was full resolution and the other capped out at 1366x768. All the other ports worked as expected. So if you only want to use one external monitor, this would be perfect.

Really easy to set up! It comes with the power cable that powers the dock, and then a cable that goes from the dock to the laptop so that it charges it and also connects it to any extra monitors. There are no extra cables to plug in your monitors so you will need to purchase those on the side.

It just simply doesn’t work. Read the other reviews and there seems to be a pattern. Don’t waste your time ordering, you will just end up having to return it.

I love my Dell docking station. I work from home and all the cords for the laptop, monitor, mouse, keyboard, (cannot use Bluetooth) we’re making me crazy! I purchased this and a cord storage box and love it! So easy and works great!

Great product. Said it was refurbished, but works and looked brand new when arrived.
