Dell WD19TB Thunderbolt Docking Station with 180W AC Power Adapter (130W Power Delivery) - (RENEWED)

Out of the box, the docks USB ports did not work. This happens, and by itself would not be a big concern. However Amazons usual Return and Replace process did not apply. I was required to wait on a call from Tech Support to process the return. The caller knew NOTHING about the product, offered no apology for the difficulty, and seemed to be highly suspicious that I was running some sort of scam. He reluctantly agreed to allow the return, but curtly advised me that no refund would be processed until they had received the unit back. OK, fine... will you be sending me a replacement? Answer: No, we do not do that. Just as well. I paid a little more and waited a little longer for a product directly from Dell where I can get support.

I usually shy away from used and refurbish, especially with electronics and even recently had issues in this realm. I am very pleased to say that this unit works PERFECTLY.

I needed another dock for home, and this one was much less expensive being labeled renewed. It looked unused when I unpackaged it, and it has worked flawlessly from day one.

I have purchase two of these WD19 Thunderbolt docking stations. One for home, the other other for work. One works just fine, great even ... but the other docking station never seems to power up properly. Power light flashes twice, fan blows briefly, then shuts down... Pressing and power button on station has no affect... USB connection cable light never turns on. Note, again I have installed all updated drivers, and the 1st docking station works fine, but the 2nd one, never powers up. Note, I have swapped power supplies and that does not fix the problem. Waiting on vendor to contact me for return details... (disappointed)

I needed a replacement for my docking station so I figured I would take a chance on a refurbished one. It looked brand new when I received it. The dock has worked great since I received it. I would definitely consider purchasing another refurb.

Didnt work out of the box. Big and clunky. I bought this on the advice of Dell customer support for my XSP laptop which had been very laggy with the keyboard and mouse. This product did not help at all, I am 100% done with Dell.

These things are outrageously over-priced, so I opted for a renewed one on Amazon to save $100 or so. It came and didnt work. If you have a 130 watt laptop, youre very limited on options unless you want to plug in a separate power cord when you dock. I found another one that actually worked, but like I said, theyre super expensive (compared to other docks). In hind-sight, Id just deal with the power cable.

I got another one that was supposed to work with the Dell and probably does but not when you have bit locker. So had to purchase this one and it works just not cheap.

If any quality checks are actually happening at Amazon Renewals, the dock I was sent didnt go through them. The dock arrived with several cuts in the cable, one deep enough that you can see bare wires if you look inside it. The entire casing looks as though it was recently used as a dogs chew toy. None of the USB ports work, not a single one. Plug it in, and neither Windows Device Manager, nore Dells Firmware Updater could detect it as a docking station. Plug in a backup hub I have on hand, and everything works perfectly, first try. I can understand some scuffs and scrapes, or other normal wear and tear with a renewed product, but the product I was sent simply does not work as the product page describes. This feels very much like a falsely advertised renewal, and like I was just sent e-waste.

I needed a docking station for a used Dell 5400 latitude, I was trying to avoid the dell docking station the price was the deterrent. Well I found one on Amazon that was used, for close to half the price. It was well worth a shot. I got today hooked it up and immediately solved all my issues I had with my much cheaper docking station. Id recommend this to anyone. And btw the laptop was refurbed with Amazon as well.
