Almost too dull to use out of the box

Weather U need them to punch a whole in your leather belt or punch a hole in a Christmas card to hang on your tree, these punches will definitely do the trick.

Not exactly what I would call “high quality” dull and very difficult to get a clean punch with. The Finnish on the metal itself feels horrible to hold.

The belt did not fit. No, I did not food binge - actually lost enough weight such that the last hole on my belts did not hold up my pants. I was risking a case of over exposure - not good. These oval punches make the proper hole in leather belts to allow for weight loss. You will have a little extra to tuck under a pants loop. Keep the weight off, you are looking good. After punching 2 holes the belt is too long, treat your new thin body to a new belt.

    Greater than one week

Leaves a lot behind and other things Ive had were better. They are not sharp and the steel is very mild basically iron.

I was really excited to receive these punches, until I actually used them. No matter how hard I pounded on the punches, I couldnt get them through a piece of 5 oz. leather. Spent more time honing and stropping the damn things than I did using them. After about two hours of honing/stropping, I finally got them to a usable state. Not satisfied at all.

I bought these punches for a single use, to add a hole in my Hanks belt. Worked great

Bought these to punch holes in belt. Have made several belts. Edges tend to bend in when in use on belt material. For the price, you really cant complain. I straightened the edges out and re-sharpened the edges. They work much better now. The factory edge was at a wrong taper, which made the edge too thin. You have to remember this is light gauged metal. steepen the taper more to a 45 degree taper and you will have less problems with the edge giving in on you. I am happy with my order, and knowing the fix to the problem, I will order again.
