Discovery- Space Projector, White (Discovey 6000076)

So it seems pretty cheaply made. Not a ton of variety since only 3 disks and you cant get more. The star projection side doesnt seem all that impressive either. All that being said my 2 year old is dancing around saying so many stars! Its beautiful! Do more planets! So yeah who cares if its cheap, she certainly doesnt. So I would say great for young kids, get something better quality with more variety for school age kids.

This is a great toy for boys and girls alike! I bought this gift for my nephew and also got one for my son. A great Christmas gift!!

The projector was broken on arrival. Ordered another and it works great. There are only 3 slide discs, show a few galaxy shots, all the planets, sun and moon. Wish there were more discs. Seems such a waste for a projector and only have a few slides. If you read reviews about blurry planets I have to laugh the projector just like a camera gas a focus ring. It can project on floor all the way to ceiling no issues. The stars however dont have a focus so they are indeed blurry from a foot away. The stars have brighter stars that are constellations just sad they are blurry. I cant find a focus for the stars. But it works well the stars auto shut off about 15 min later so works great for night light.

This was a nice present for my 6 year old who is into space and the planets, but the motor that turns the stars was noisy and broke fairly quickly. I fixed it, but it is still too noisy and erratic to use as a night light (as was intended).

Arrived in a hydro flask box. Stains were on the product showing signs of previous use. The screw covering the battery port shows wear from previous use. Not thrilled to receive something that was used. Was expecting in new condition.

On/off switch was very hard to use.

Wanted to love this, but when it’s on the star projector it has a terrible scratchy and squeaky noise. This is the worse thing to have in a child’s room at sleep time. My son gets extremely distracted by the loud scratchy noise, as the stars are turning around. It doesn’t do that when it’s projecting the planets. Terribly disappointed, since I ordered from Canada, had to pay duties and shipping and now have to return it. Super annoying and disappointing.

This thing is seriously the best! My son loves it and I love it. Love the auto shut off feature as well… Our has been clicking when it rotates and waking my son up shortly after he falls asleep.

Bought this for my grandson for Christmas and I am glad I tried it out when putting in the batteries. According to description, it appears that the disks rotate, but they dont. The disk portion is like the old, red view-finders that we all had as kids. you have to rotate them manually. I expected the planets and other space objects to rotated automatically when he was in bed. The stars rotate great so I gave it 2 stars, but I also returned it.
