This took under a minute to install - I screwed off the old one, that had a foam looking sealer that showed. I was able to put this black one over and screw it on over the foam sealer. It looks so good. Some of the other reviewers note that you can see the white pipe inside. I just turned mine so that the two vent holes face away from the viewer. It looks beautiful. Super sturdy and I am guessing it will last forever.

The material used and finish is great. Oddly enough, the diameter is just barely too large to fit against the over counter airgap on my countertop. Perhaps this is to make it more widely compatible with varying sizes. I just added a lining of black electrical tape a few times over on the inner lip and it fits snugly now.

This is a nicely made cover, the finish is well done. The color does compliment the colors in my kitchen well, so I am happy with the black finish. It is a flat, not gloss finish, so around the sink it won’t show smudges as well as one that is chrome finished. I simply removed my old one dropped this one on and that was it. Nothing complicated about it. The metal isn’t real thick, but since I can’t imagine it is going to be abused much sitting on my counter, I anticipate it stay looking good for a long time. Fit and finish is great and I would recommend it to anyone looking to match their black fixtures and appliances.

Easily recommended for both functionality and style. PROS - Style: Sleek black with a little skirt at the bottom give it a better foundational aesthetic. Our old air gap cover had a large opening and the inner tubes were visible...this to me is the equivalent of putting a mess inside a drawer so the area/room feels cleaner - Material: Rust proof (Brass inside) and water beads off the outside - quality finish and durable - Adaptable: While both holes dont exactly line up with the inner tubing, it works flawlessy due to their being two holes (one matches) CONS - None so far

This is just the cover for air gap. Not the full assembly. I wanted this black air gap cover to match my kitchen. Looks good. It fit over my existing air gap assembly nicely. No complaints. Would recommend if you are looking for a black cover.

Despite this Dishwasher Air Gap Cover being described as being a Universal Size, it was too wide for my Dishwasher’s Air Gap. I have to find a Way to replace the old, non-matching Cover with this modern-looking, sleek, Black Air Gap Cover to match the remaining Black and Stainless-Steel Theme of my Kitchen. Compared to the old Cover, this new Air Gap Cover is so much sturdier and made from Brass. The Outside is painted over.
