> 3 dayTape is super thin, tears easily on the roll, you have to use a lot more layers than other plumbers tape Im familiar with. But it does eventually get the job done

05-06-2025TLDR: Its so thin its basically see through, the width is smaller than advertised, and its a fifth the weight it should be. The description says its 3.5 mils/0.09 mm thick by 3/4 wide by 520 long. Using the density of PTFE (2.2 g/cm^3) the tape alone should weigh about 50 grams, but on my scale the tape AND spool weigh only 11.05 grams, thats 1/5 the weight it should be. Im not gonna bother measuring the 43 or so foot length advertised but the width is not 3/4 inch either, my caliper shows its around 0.70 which seemed odd until I switched to millimeters and its exactly 18.0 mm wide. Assuming the length isnt too far off, this would mean the thickness is not 3.5 mils but closer to 0.8 mils or 0.0008 inches (0.02 mm) but I dont have a micrometer precise enough to measure this. Sure its a cheap roll of Teflon sealant tape made in China, but this is just ridiculous.

> 3 dayPut it around the threading in the correct direction so that it doesnt unwind when screwing pipe pieces together. After the first revolution around the threading, make it tighter and do a few more revolutions. I used it for an outside spigot and it worked correctly.
