Not see through like your typical umbrella. But, this one is made for UV protection, not rain protection. Im not sure of the effectiveness quite yet, unfortunately I have broken out in a cutaneous lupus rash everywhere brought on by sun exposure and pregnancy, so its hard to tell if its helping or not at this point. But Im willing to try anything! It seems to do good though.

This umbrella is on the pricier side, probably because of this double layer cloth. First time I owned such thick fabric material for an umbrella. Im sure with such protection, its definitely good to shield myself from harmful UV. I have not tested this in rain to see how it holds up. Be warn, the thick layers of fabric also make it thicker when folded. I couldnt easily slot it back into the umbrella sleeve after using. With the price, I was hoping to get a push button automatic umbrella. Unfortunately this umbrella is your basic push extend and pull down collapse type.

Im really happy with this umbrella! I bought it to protect me from the sun because my face tends to get red real quick while exposed to heat and this is perfect for that. The material is thicker than normal umbrellas, which I appreciate because it does an even better job of protecting my face. I chose the pink color and its this beautiful pale blush that is just darling. The handle is a light wood that looks fancy but is super lightweight. It has a looped rope on it for easy carrying. I wouldnt say that this will fit in a purse nicely (its medium sized as opposed to super compact) but definitely in a tote, backpack or in the trunk/backseat of a car. I also appreciate that its not an automatic open as those mechanisms tend to break a lot and the manual opening and closing of this is easy enough. I know ill be using this quite often this summer and will do so proudly!

Good large umbrella it works well as my car umbrella for when Im out and about

This umbrella is easy to use and great for sun protection. The outside is pink (even if the color of umbrella you choose is another color - that color will be inside/the underside). I love how compact and travel friendly it is!

I like the color and the design

This umbrella was durable but too big to go in your purse. It opened and closed with no problems.

This is great for sun or rain - I love the light pink color, and the black lining keeps you cooler while protecting you from the sun.

Super cute and compact

The umbrella is extra thick and should certainly block the sun rays. The opening of the umbrella is easy. The ribs are a more sturdy material than most and should hold up against a strong wind. However when you go to retract it it doesn’t naturally fold itself. It is a difficult to get it small enough to snap the strap around it and return it to its case. I would expect an umbrella in this price range not to have this issue. This is the reason I gave it a 3 star rating.
