In my opinion, it doesnt smell great but thats ok, can try another scent. However, the deodorant itself needs to be attached better - the entire block fell off the 2nd time I used it. Cute design but function is more important than form.

The deodorant was fine. But the container was horrible. This was bought for traveling. Wont work because the lid wont stay on. I threw it away and will buy the regular

Why did I waste my money ? Does not stay attached broke off as I opened it the first time. You people actually thought this would be okay with anyone? Why can’t you just make a travel size with no aluminum? Hard to believe they got away with selling this, Dove must need a whole new administrative staff.

I thought this would be a great idea. The deodorant itself is nice but the third time I used it the deodorant broke off of the container and fell in the sink. I tried to put it back on but it breaks off as soon as you try to use it again.

I wanted to love this. The formula itself is wonderful but the idea isnt working. Deodorant broke and was unusable within a week. Theres no way to use it. The refills still come in a plastic container that needs thrown away - just not as much. If the whole design was better it might work for reducing waste but it didnt save money and actually created more waste since the whole concept doesnt work. This is one product I have to say - the low reviews are accurate and I still decided to give it a chance in the hopes that it would work.

Smells great but in a within a few hours the scent diminishes AND you need put more on. Does not last all day.

I’ve been looking forever for a deodorant with BOTH environmentally responsible packaging AND socially acceptable body odor control that won’t leave me either wanting to die at the audacity of my own pit odor or sincerely alarmed at the virulence of the rising pit rash at the end of each day, and thought I had FINALLY found the holy grail in this product from a brand that has otherwise always been reliable for me. Alas, no. On second use, deodorant completely sheared off the insert platform and went skittering under the sink of my hotel bathroom, picking up every single speck of grit, wisp of pubic hair and errant toenail clipping that it encountered along the way. I had to fish it out from under the cabinet, scrape off about half the product and then use my bare hands to mash what was left back down onto the insert, only to have it break off again the minute I tried to re-apply. After retrieving again, scraping off the gross parts for a second time only to fail AGAIN, I ended up just breaking off a chunk with my hand and just kind of attempting to smear it into my armpit- a no for me, thanks. A great idea from a usually reliable brand, but, unfortunately, until they get the usability right, I won’t be putting myself through that again.

I love the idea of a deodorant that reduces plastic waste. There are a couple of things to note and one thing that Dove should create. First, the deodorant block will snap off if youre not careful to maintain a 90 degree angle with your skin. Second there is some plastic, the cap and base for a new cartridge, that Dove says is recyclable but doesnt carry a recycle mark. Some recycle centers wont accept the plastic without this marking. Finally, the metal base for the deodorant is simply too small for a mans hand. I have to pinch the base between my thumb and finger tips like Im holding a decorative mini sandwitch at a party. The mens version of this product has the same base. It just replaces the white cap with a manly black cap...

I love the scent. I like the concept. But I used the product for 4 days, and the deodorant fell off the base of the replacement cartridge. I think Ill buy one more refill, and give it one more chance. But as of right now, Im not happy.

From the outside, this deo seems perfect, small and compact, easy to travel with. But once you get past the container is where the problem lay in wait for me. I used this deodorant twice. TWICE! before it broke off at the base. At this point I cant use the deodorant without it slipping and sliding in my hands and I cant reattach ot because its a virtually flat surface it sits on. The case is lovely, the deodorant works and smells nice, but be very VERY careful when applying. Also, a different design might be helpful, or even a smaller/sturdier option.
