We have big babies and they needed to switch to level 2 pretty early in the game. I think it was at 5-6 weeks old for each of them (they were around 11-12 lbs at that point). It made such a difference that they didnt have to work so hard to get the formula! We also switched to Level 3 with my son at 8 weeks when he hit 15lbs. When choosing a nipple, I dont think the age matters as much as the size of your baby!

Update: I would like to thank dr. Browns customer service department Shelley for reaching out to me about my issue. They sent me replacement nipples. I would absolutely recommend this brand because this company will stand by their product. I like the bottles, however I used the nipples once and a few of them cracked after a single use. Very disappointed in the quality of these nipples! My 3 month old was choking because the milk was coming out so fast from the cracked hole. I used this nipple once and it cracked. if youre buying these, its because you already have the bottles, so why do you care what i think anyway.

My baby loves Dr. Brown bottles and the nipple flow is a little better for him than others. He is a bit ahead (used 3 mo when 2 mo) but other than that no complaints!

Great switched my daughter to these at 4 months old (2 months adjusted, shes a preemie) and they work wonderfully. I love the Dr. Brown products

These work great for my baby. I know it says 3+ months but he was ready for it at 10 weeks.
