> 3 dayi like that it was cheap and they gave you 3 taps. it did what i needed it to do but was starting to show wear immediately, probably not an heirloom tool. if you need it for a one time use then it may suit your needs

> 3 dayNice, easy and quick transaction. Tap set was perfect for reclaiming a 10-24 thread on a tool that woud have cost $50 or more to replace.

> 3 dayI used these to prep a new steel bicycle frame derailleur nut. Because the paint was in the threads, I could not properly screw on the derailleur. I used the more blunt one first, as I had already crossed the threads with repeated failed attempts, then I proceed to use the sharper one for a final cleanup. Very effective! Derailleur screwed right in afterwards.

> 3 dayI used this to chase threads in blind holes in an automotive cast iron housing prior to reassembly. It did the job I needed and after waiting for more than two weeks for the local hardware to obtain one of these taps, I had this one through amazon to use in two days for slightly less cost.

> 3 dayNice tap. Made out of metal. Surprised that it came from China but looks as though it could have been made in India. Came with neat plastic storage box that pulls apart. I don’t know why but mine has a faint smell of a grilled cheese sandwich. If that troubles you then maybe you should see if they have different flavors? I bought this to repair bolt holes but I’m sure it will come in handy to throw across the shop or at something when I get frustrated. Makes a nice Christmas gift for the handyman that has everything! I just wish it could have been made in Mexico or at least California as I like to purchase high quality crap to use once and then throw away, but I suspect I’ll lose this one like I misplace everything else! Y’all have a great day and keep on tapping!

10-06-2025I expected a cheap tap, given the price, but this 1-8 tap still disappointed me. I used it to chase an already threaded hole in cast iron, way down in a deep well. It would not fit in my Lisle tap socket. The nominal spec for the flats on a 1 tap is .600; I measure my other 1 taps at .595+-.001. This one was .603 one way and .602 the other; too big for a tap socket. I had to mutilate it on a belt grinder to get it to fit.
