I installed it in my S7 and the sound was very distorted. Now I have 2 headphone that dont work.

The mic did not work after fitting I had to bend the tiny mic connector out a bit, the outermost contact, then it worked ok. Did not expect to have to do this with a new part.

Easy to swap out. Lasted maybe a half-year before it went bad again.

Re-Review: Initially it seemed like it was working properly but there is some type of grounding issue with the jack. People had issues hearing me when using a phone w/mic due to all the feed back and if charging you can hear a ton of noise. I ended up buying a used OEM part from ebay and it fixed all my issues.

Stereo sound working again, and aux cables dont fall out of my phone anymore. S7 is a pain to open, so you may as well replace the battery when you replace this. Swapping this part out for the old one is very easy.

This was worse than the one I replaced. This one broke within a week. The stock S7 headphone jack lasted nearly two years. Very low quality product.

Note that this comes with a protective cover of the jack end that you must remove before installing. Worked like a charm, there are videos and sites with how to replace this online. Also, you will want a new adhesive back for the phone. And use picks and special suction cup pliers with a heat gun to remove the back in order to use this. Amazon has the tools for all of this.

Exactly as described. My old socket had become difficult to work with. Installation was very easy especially with YouTube tutorials.

The jack was Not new as stated, it had lint inside of it and the contacts were corroded. As I already had the phone open I tried to clean it and use it, but it turned out to be defective anyway. had to get another jack form another source. if they are going to try to pull off selling used junk, they need to at least CLEAN it and test it.
