I cannot say enough about this kit. It resembles commerical grade sets. It was easy to assemble and was up in no time. We used 4x4x8s and 4x4x12, no problem with putting the wood into the brackets. The grandkids (I have 5) absolutely LOVE it. It is very sturdy.

Excellent kit. If you use pressure treated pine, do yourself a favor and rent/borrow a belt sander to help get the boards into the brackets. Get a long 3/8” bit for drilling the holes for the swing mounts. I used 10’ 4x4 boards for the legs and buried them a foot into the ground. Used a 12’ 4x6 for the top beam. Be sure to enlist some help before starting, definitely not a one man job.

This was the weekend project that is already paying dividends. The build quality of all the components is very high quality and should last for years to come. I purchased 4x4x10 posts and a 4x6x10 beam for the set. I cut the posts down to 9 although the instructions call for 8 but I wanted a taller set that would fit the family longer. This was the right call for us. After much hemming and hawing, I opted for the kinder and gentler pressure treated lumber which is now arsenic free. It was either this or go with cedar for about 4 times the cost and beyond my means. My 6 year old will understand not to use the wood for toothpicks I hope. As most have mentioned, sanding the wood is required to get the brackets to fit. I sanded all the wood anyway so that there would be no splinters so this was no big deal. The sanding took most of my time and amounted to several hours when all was said and done. A belt sander will make short work of it but I used a random orbital. Our kit was missing the instructions so I emailed Eastern Jungle Gym and received a reply the same day with a PDF of them.

Be prepared to sand every single post that is supposed to fit into these “easy” brackets. It’s an absolute joke that it takes so much personal labor to get these to work. I have an idea, make the bracket openings a little larger and provide a pack of shims. Dang.

Excellent quality. As expected. Second swing set hardware and brackets from Eastern Jungle. Purchased $75 in wood plus this kit gives a nice swing set for around $300. I wouldn’t say assembly is easy but it is like a 400 lb set that takes time drilling holes, placing 4x4, uprighting, etc. I actually pulled my upright with my truck and a strap. Very happy. Also, I went with 10’ 4x4s. It was tougher to stand up and I had to get some chain extensions but I’m happy.

Arrived on time, all parts as described. Made erecting a swing set for my Granddaughter possible by myself. Does require some tools, knowledge and patience to drill the mounting holes straight through the 4X6 top beam. Buy dry wood if possible or let the wood dry in a warm garage for several weeks for best results. Use shims to level the beam before drilling each hole, (if it is at all even slightly twisted) and clamps to hold it stationary before drilling. A drill press will make drilling straight holes much easier. Once it was all drilled and the hardware mounted I placed all the parts on site and built it there. Once totally built and the swing was laying on its side I lifted the top beam of the A frame up and placed it on a 5 foot ladder then used a rope attached to the top beam and a small tractor to slowly pull the swing upright. To keep the swing from tipping too far I had a friend use a rope to counter the pull from the tractor and let the swing settle slowly to the ground. Tie down stakes placed, all set up and ready to swing

So i was planing to build a swing set and liked overall ratings for jungle jim products across the board. One of the the points for me was for sure saving some money when buying kit vs buying everything separately. However disappointment hitted right. after opening the box. 1) Frames are not fully painted inside in this kit. They are however if you buy brackets separately. If you planing to use pressure threaded lumber they should be painted to avoid corrosion. 2) Swing hangers are for sure heavy duty, however they dont have plastic washers AND had rust with crumbling paint out of the box. If you buy hangers of same brand separately they do have washers and i have not seen many reviews about rust if at all. 3) All hardware was zinc coated, which is not suitable for pressure threaded wood. If you buy brackets separately they do provide galvanized hardware which is good for PT lumber. Overall browsing reviews for other jungle gym products i saw similar reviews from year or two ago. Lots of recent reviews saying about better hardware and fully painted brackets. Looks like this kits probably were made a while back and do not have all the update manufacturer implemented recently. Overall very good brand. Returned this kit, however ordered everything separately as parts.

Our kids are getting older and we wanted to down grade from our massive, yard stealing play structure. Our kids no longer used the climbing wall, clubhouse and slide that we had. But they still enjoy swings. So I purchased this kit. The hardware and fittings are sturdy. We purchased the wood locally on our own. The set looks great and doesnt take up an obnoxious amount of space. With that said, it wasnt as easy to put together as we thought it would be. No complaints with the finished product though.

The hardware kit appears very heavy duty and proved fairly easy to assemble. I did it by myself but would recommend 2 people, particularly to move to the final location, upright, and level. I used large furniture sliders to move it around on the grass fully assembled. The only thing I might do different is to make the legs using 9 ft. - 4x4s. I bought 8 boards as recommended by Eastern and now wish it were a tad taller. I had to sand the 4 x 6 top beam quite a bit on one end to get it to fit (used random orbital sander). I ended up using a 3 lb. sledge and a large block of wood (to prevent bracket damage) to get that end on. The second end required a bit of sanding but went on much easier. I also recommend a drill with a built in bubble level (mine is a Dewalt) to drill the bolt holes through the top beam for the hangers. I would have given it 5 stars but for the cost.
