ELEGOO ABS-Like 2.0 3D Printer Resin 1kg Grey, Rapid Precise Printing Resin 405nm LCD UV-Curing for LCD 3D Printer

Ive been using this in my Saturn S with great success. Works well, produces parts which are strong (at least by the standards of resin 3d printers) and doesnt seem to be any more noxious than any other Ive used.

Nothing but failed prints that were 100% successful with other resin. Waste of money and time. Wouldnt stay on the build plate, have holes in walls that require no support. Tried several different settings with no luck. New screen and it just keeps failing...

ABS-like gray is my go-to for anything that needs to be painted. Red makes amazing prints and behaves with settings the same as gray. BLUE however is very viscous compared to red and I had to double my suppport height to get it to drain and not fuse all of the supports together and ruin the underside of the print. It may have been a bad batch situation, but I went through almost an entire kg bottle of blue before I got it to perform like red. I suspect this is due to blue being more translucent than red and how the color reacts to the UV curing process. I had to shorten my layer time to 2s from 2.5 on the Mars 2 Pro. Support height went from 5mm to 10.

I liked the color but you should know if you clean the peice to much this resin looses its clarity. I just spray alcohol on the peice and let it drip dry then cure it for a clearer finish. The dragon is over cleaned and cloudy the skulls are just sprayed and blown off and are clear.

Just something to keep in mind when you get into 3D printing. UV resin contains sensitizers. Once you develop an allergy its only a matter of time before it turns into anaphylaxis. Thus ends my potential career in 3D printing. Other than that, it works fairly well on default settings with the Photon Mono X. Might need a bit of tweaking, but its decent. Holds up well, too.

I keep picking elegoo ABS-like for my toy printing needs. It has a nice spring to the final print that keeps them from breaking too easily. For example, a sword on a DnD mini printed with this resin (on a Mars2Pro) can bend about 15-20 degrees before snapping, as compared to some more rigid resins. Cleanup is easy with IPA. Smell is moderate. This resin is compatible with alcohol resin inks, although with the white resin it takes a LOT of dye (20-30 drops) to achieve even a pale pastel color, so for coloring one might consider a pre-tinted resin as a base. For stronger toy prints, consider mixing with 20% siraya tech blu or tenacious to lend rigidity or flexibility to the final print - these resins mix nicely! Shipped quickly and securely. Ive tried about a dozen different resins and this one really is the gold standard. It is priced well, has great mechanical properties (flex, detail, etc), prints great, and cleans really well with just a soak in 90% IPA. I really like the grey -- it is a great color to see the detail and it is easy to make out what is what on the build plate. For settings, I do 2.6s on a Mars 2 Pro and that has worked flawlessly. Attached is a photo of how well it holds detail (primed).

Maybe I have a bad bottle, but it always prints with some kind of goo like web, (the resin)
