> 24 hourAmazing small-scale resin printer. This was my second printer. The first I had purchased directly from the manufacturer. It was an Anycubic Photon Zero. The thing broke and I could not get them to refund my money. This printer worked out of the box, easy to use, print quality is amazing. Best part, if you buy through Amazon, you will have the protection of Amazon’s return policy. Don’t buy from the manufacturer. These Chinese companies will take forever to reply because their offices are in China. They do not provide any phone numbers and ship replacement parts from China. Meaning that replacement pets will take 2 weeks or more to arrive. Order from Amazon, even if it’s a little more expensive. The protection of having Amazon between you and these companies is worth it.

> 24 houri have been into FDM printing for years since the first makerbot and in 2015 patented an enclosure i protoyped on an early form labs printer when i had work. during the pandemic, i got back into resin casting as a way to create enclosures and replicas of various jewelry or games i cant afford. as i was choking on the fumes of a non vacuum aspirated urethane based epoxy one morning i remembered that fdm printing had gotten faster, safer, and cheaper over the past 5 years, so i bought first a brand of 3d printer that was recommended with a mono screen. it arrived and was tiny and worse, printed the sample file and then refused to work again, so despondent i returns it. a few days ago, i was looking around for resin when i noticed this green printer and said huh because i believed only red printers could cure correctly. maybe it was bold but i just ordered it on the spot. it arrived, and heres three things i noticed : Way larger than the other printer id gotten for the same price with a better resolution uv emission panel and far easier resin loading and calibration. this was possible because secondly the instructions are super clear about what to do. i mean, you honestly cant really mess it up, i liked even details about turning the alignment screws in a certain order and to use a4 paper ( i sacrified some of my tomoe river stash for this because i figured if im going to use real a4 paper its best to use the best paper lol). and third, the detail is really great. my first print was the above cleric. i wanted to try chitubox right off as i had not used it with the prior printer that broke. i importrd the file that came in a set of medieval figures on the usb stock with this printer as an stl, built supports, and printer to some tough black resin. thats literally the most basic calibration with chitubox default settings. impressive.my final thought is that the one bad thing i noticed is after this print and another of the same for my spouse, i noticed leakage in the resin at. i cleaned it of course and found two small holes in the plastic lining. i am certain i didnt cause them while cleaning as they are pinprick sized and my best guess is that resin build up after my first print created supports that did not come off right and the initial layer formation crushed them. it has been hard to find online how to replace this plastic. i can find examples for the mars and the mars 2 pro but not this mars 2 - this bothers me because id like to get 2 more resin tanks so that i could store resin in the tank for short times while printing multiples of the same objects in different materials as i djd with our form labs long ago. however, i cannot find the green tanks for sale and the dimensions of metal tanks and red tanks differ slightly. honesty disclosure is that elegoo and i have been on communication regarding this issue and i do plan to share them this review with hope that they can send me a new resin tank and plastic so i can get going again. all in all id say that this printer fits a sweet spot in the maker community for what id call the cloistered creative - if you have basic knowledfe of many fabrication techniques and can run 3d software, this is your bat mobile printer and its a blast.

> 24 hourStraight out of the box it took me ten minutes to be set up and almost ready to print. The first hurdle was trying to figure out why the printer wouldnt recognize the files. Turns out I had to update the firmware which involved going to Elegoos website, downloading the firmware, and then plugging the included memory card in and pushing a couple buttons. After that it worked great. I tried a few different types of prints, from bookmarks, a solid fill lighthouse, a flat print of an elephant, and of course a baby Yoda. Pros: -Easy to set up -Great quality prints -No experience needed, this is definitely a beginners printer Cons: -Small size -My one issue with this printer was one of the screws that holds the build plate in place wasnt threaded right. It still works but it was really difficult to get it threaded correctly Overall this printer has me already looking at getting the Saturn or waiting on the Jupiter model so I can start on some larger print projects.

> 24 hourIve been dreaming of getting a 3d printer for years and finally was about to buy my first one; this one. Ive been using it about a week now and it truly has blown me away with quality and ease of use. Packaging is next level and extremely high quality. Getting it setup was easy, although I dont have A4 paper so I had to trim some for the calibration. First print failed because I didnt shake the bottle. Shook the bottle the second time and it worked like a charm. Workflow and safety is important with these as resin is toxic. The included gloves worked great but do be sure to get nitrile gloves. The Mercury Wash and Cure station is also worth purchasing at the same time. Its also extremely high quality and it has made taking care of my prints very ease. This machine has given me the gift of a great new hobby. Printing my first useable object (tooth paste squeezer) got me hooked but the quality and detail on this is amazing. If you want one, think about treating yourself. Youll start to find a dozen uses for it.

This will be so fun @ 61 years old. They are not only for kids, old folks need toys too. This a GREAT printer! Easy so far, trying Elegoo water resin out seems to work great.

> 24 hourLet make a record strait, it DOES NOT go 4 time faster, its more like twice as fast at the most... Wow that is nice. The speed is improve, the exposure time is less but every other thing the same. Than half of it goes 4 time faster, that would be a thru statement... It is faster, it does have a better volume and the same or better result (resolution wise). I taught it would need a better or different resin but my test show no issue with the resine I was using on the Mars original. its so much better and for a bit over $200... If your time is not free like me, get-it. I retire my Mars1 and got a Mars Pro 2... Notice the $100 more doesnt give much more than a better cover color and maybe better printing surface. And one more plus for it, the Vat from the Mars original fit and so is the print surface. The print surface of this machine and the pro version are a little bigger but work from one to the other (with the need to be zero), its a nice plus. It is to notice the vat is made of clear, green tinted material, the Pro and the original are Aluminum. I cant say, if its not as good. Its solid, looks good and give excellent result. As usually, I customize-it; I add a magnetic print surface and add heat. I keep all my resin printer at 40c and have like 100% print success. As you know the magnetic surface is to ease the part separation. It is to notice the printing surface is improve from the Mars1 to the 2 and again to the 2Pro. The one being painted (and peal with the time) the 2 is like machined and the 2Pro sandblast what minimize the reflection and add adhesion (So they say). I go with the Magnetic peelable spring steel, that I cant tell if one is better than the other. The first generation (painted surface) did leave paint on some parts, what is less than desirable, if you dont use skid and print on the table and use the piece unpainted. Instruction and software. The instruction is Ok but at least theres some, right! The UI is different from the first gen the 2 and the 2 pro, specially in the zeroing and setup. It just different icon and little variation on how to do-it but still intuitive, youll figure-it out. The slicing is the same, you just have to pick the right printer that goes to. I keep the original set-up on all the printer and have like zero issue. I may be able to save few seconds here and there but I go for the easy print, no headache. And as the slicer goes, I find it simple and versatile. I dont see much to improve there. If you have the Mars original, this guy is a must-have, if your time is valuable. Its allot more for the buck. Personally I dont like the Green but doesnt affect the safety or performance. Its like an eye-sure in the printer line-up (Ya I got 4 and one Saturn, the big red guy) Ya! Why dont you go create something, its better than reading me ;-) Keep having fun

> 24 hourThis printer was the perfect intorduction to resin printing. It is a little work horse! It was easy to setup and didnt take much tweaking to get going. Once I learned a bit about resin printing this printer ran 24/7 with few issues. I had it alone for about 3 weeks before adding additional printers. I am now the owner of this printer, 3 of its bigger brothers (for larger model sizes) and soon to be a jupiter. The really important part about this printer is Elegoo customer service. I have several printers. There is a learning curve, and there are consumable parts (fep, lcd) and there are weird quirks in the prints even. I joined the elegoo resin printing facebook groups for some help and found SO many helpful people but when friendly advice couldnt solve the issue, Elegoo offical support stepped in and took care of the problem. That included free replacement parts to make sure I was up and printing again! It has been a wild ride in resin printing since I started with this little guy and I am so pleased that I just backed their kickstarter for the very large format Jupiter! If you are on the fence, this is worth investing in.

> 24 hourStarted out great and worked fine. All of a sudden it started to not print anything. Everything is just gooey and melted. Have no clue what changed or happened. Very frustrating and Im just unhappy with my purchase. Cant tell if its the new order of resin I got from them thats a bad batch or what. I am waiting for a different brand of resin to give it a shot if not its most likely the printer being junk.

> 24 hourThis is my second resin printer and I am so pleased with it. The quality of the prints are outstanding, the adhesion to the platform virtually flawless - I am so very pleased.
