Elmers Disappearing Purple School Glue Sticks, Washable, 6 Grams, 12 Count

This is a good adhesive for my daughters homeschool and craft projects, which are mostly paper. When used carefully, theres minimal mess and a strong bond. The disappearing purple color lets my daughter see how much she is using and where she is applying it, which is useful for a child who is still learning how to use glue correctly. Sometimes the purple disappears a little TOO quickly, mainly on large projects, so she cant tell whether or not she has covered the piece fully. This is a fairly minor issue, though, as Im there to help her. I think we have enough glue to last the whole school year.

I always have an Elmer glue stick on hand at the house. My favorite use of the glue stick is on stamps. Sometimes I make a mistake in address and notice it after the stamp has been attached. After removing the stamp by hot water I use Elmers glue to stick the stamp to a new envelope. I like that the glue stick goes on in purple color (which turns clear later) as it helps me to see the coverage.

Im doing scrapbooking. Glue dots are expensive, photo corners are too, and I do use them if Im mounting something important like an original document. Glue dots are quick but Permanent! If I need to reposition something and Ive used the glue Sticks, I can gently lift and reposition. I got them by the dozen, and even glue sticks that sat in a desk drawer for 6 mos are still good! Top quality!
