> 24 hourBought this on Ebay that does not allow product reviews. This is flimsy, collapses, will not lock. A very high priced item for non-durable quality. Wind blows it upside down to make a cup. No locking mechanism to keep it closed or open. OK for very light duty use. Not made to be durable like the Five Star EuroSchirm regular trekking umbrellas that are worth a few dollars more, and have locks to keep them open and closed.

> 24 hourNice umbrella but a bit pricey. There are others that are similar, but cheaper.

> 24 hourI asked for and received this umbrella as a Christmas gift and intend to use it while hiking. Its large enough to cover my head & shoulders and my Osprey Exos 58 backpack. I like that it will provide both sun and rain protection. Im using it with the straps that attach to my backpack shoulder straps and I find this umbrella very light and comfortable.

> 24 hourWhat a wonderful product. Lightweight and built really well. I like it because you dont need to press any clumsy buttons to open it. Because of the design it can easily be attached to my backpack and I will definitely try it on my next hike

> 24 hourI can’t attest to the sturdiness yet, as I have not used it in windy conditions...yet. But so far it does exactly what I need out to do. Protects from rain and sun without weighing me down on the trail.

> 24 hourThis is one of the most popular backpacking umbrellas due to its weight. Works great in strong sun, and for rain, although just like any other umbrella, eventually your arms and shoes and pants will get wet. I read that it was made of fiberglass so I thought it would also be quite durable. In fact, the little joints that connect the rods to the canopy are made of thin plastic and they break in any moderate wind. This umbrella is way less wind resistant than a $15 umbrella. It may still be the strongest umbrella in its weight class, so I may even need to buy it again for backpacking, however put it away in any wind of any kind! I wish someone would come along and design a better lightweight umbrella.

Hi There
> 24 hourThis is a great lightweight umbrella to shield me from the sun. It collapses like a normal, full size umbrella but into a much thinner profile. It is easy to get back into it’s case and the carry strap is useful. In Florida, I use it when sitting out at the pool to guarantee I have shade even if all the tables with umbrellas are taken. At my cabin up North I use it when sitting on the dock enjoying nature. It would also be perfect to take to an outdoor concert. I do not know how it would function in rain, but that is not it’s purpose. I have 2 of these and I recommend them.
