> 3 dayUsing this as a Crested Gecko grow out tank for a 3g baby. I don’t like how difficult the top is to remove and I also don’t like how the top has the strip in the middle which can limit the size and type of lighting used. Thr twist knob is also a light sketchy opening and closing the doors and I’m dreading if it breaks. The only things I actually like are the vents for at the top that you can slide to open and close depending on what you need to put in the tank and the dual open doors.

> 3 dayI realize I really should have paid more attention to the measurements of the tank, so shame on me but, I do have some other valid points for the two star review. First, this tank has the awesome feature of the rock wall in the background. Or, so I thought...This tank actually has a Styrofoam rock background. The first thing that came to mind is my heat lamp melting the Styrofoam and creating a fire hazard. Second, this case is certainly not round-lamp friendly like you would use on your normal 20 gallon tank. Its got this lovely plastic bar going across the middle requiring the lamp to rest on plastic. Fire hazard #2? Third, if you feed your Gecko crickets, BEWARE! The Styrofoam acts as a lovely little escape route and if you dont close those little notches on the top, youve got a jailbreak. (My cat is loving it) I hate leaving bad reviews on products but nothing irritates me more then careless innovation. What gets me even more is that stupid plastic bar across the top preventing me from using my own heat lamp. Now, if I do decide to keep this, I have to buy the insert for the heat lamp that is designed for this tank. Its just all very obnoxious and to be honest, if you have a leopard gecko like I do, your better off with a 20 gallon tank and customizing it to your pets needs.

> 3 dayThis is a really nice terrarium. I have it for my baby frilled dragon and its just the right size for an energetic, arboreal reptile like a frilly. The glass doors open 180 degrees instead of just 90 which is great for the extra elbow room. The lock feels a little flimsy, its just a plastic latch thats somewhat difficult to grasp. I kind of wish there wasnt a big bar dividing the top of the screen because my lamp just barely fits being a centimeter from the plastic/metal and I worry about it warping over time from the heat. Other than that, its a very nice quality tank, the bottom is water-proof (great for a mini pond or waterfall) and the backdrops that come with it are usually styrofoam which can be good or bad depending on your preference. Good for me because my frilly climbs all over it day and night. If it were plastic it probably wouldnt be climbable.

> 3 dayI have crested geckos, and I have been looking for a good terrarium for them for a while. Their soil needs to be very moist, which makes terrariums with plastic bottoms or screen fronts a non-starter. This terrarium will actually hold water if you need it to, which means I can overwater their soil if Im going away for a week or so, and the soil remains moist while Im gone. The glass doesnt get foggy like plastic does, and its easy to clean. One note about the foam back- its gorgeous, and my geckos love to climb it, but I discovered that crickets like to eat it! I kept hearing noises from the terrariums and discovered crickets trying to eat their way out by eating the background. I also had a problem with a few crickets escaping (Im still not sure how theyre doing it, but I suspect it has to do with the tubing that I ran into the tank through the available holes in the top). It only seems to happen if the geckos dont eat them in one or two days, so Im now very careful about how many crickets are left in the tanks for the geckos to eat.

> 3 dayI was excited to get our new terranium, but unfortunately, it came broken in a million pieces. Very poor packaging for such a fragile item.

> 3 dayThis is probably one of the best purchases I ever made for my reptiles. Beautifully made, sturdy, practical, ans also much cheaper than other terrariums of same size. I am currently housing a Jacksons chameleon in it, and he couldnt be happier. I know that most people choose a screen cage for their chameleons, but I beg to differ. I had one, and it wasnt good at all. With the glass terrarium, I can easily control the humidity levels by using a fogger/humidifier, and there is enough ventilation, thanks to the vent that can be found underneath the double doors. I hung basking lights above the terrarium, and also placed a UVB lamp on top of it. If you want the best environment for your chameleon, this terrarium is the one to go for.
