Exo Terra Terrarium Lock

Really good lock. Sometimes jams up even when the combo is entered. I use it on a vanomous snake, so this would probably be a fault in other cases, but works well for me.

I ordered 2 of these to keep my lizards safe.. One I was able to change the combination without a problem... the other, I changed it and then it wouldnt work... I didnt understand that one.. So now I have one that is locked and I cant open it up because the combination wont work.. I tried going back to the default, still wouldnt work... not sure what the deal is. On the one tank I use this one, it barely reaches... BUt at least I know my lizards are hopefully secure since my neighbor stole my Iguana and the police wont do anything about it.

Could find cheaper locks.

Easy to set the combination and to use. Using for our panther gecko terrarium to keep little fingers away and little lizards safe.

Im not sure the appropriate type of lock for an exoterra cage, but this isnt it. If you are using it because you dont want a child to leave the door ajar, this will not help. The door latch can still be opened and the doors open enough where any size snake or lizard could still escape from the cage. I could see this being useful if you owned a pet store and you wanted to discourage theft because a thief would not be able to reach in and take an animal. We are just concerned our tree boa could get out and hurt our baby so we want to lock it. Weve already seen the baby touching at the latch so its totally plausible that a toddler could unlatch the cage and leave it ajar.

These were much higher priced elsewhere, great for piece of mind that your awesome snake wont get out!!

I have a son (11years) with Autism.. I bought these to put on our tanks, for he cant get too curious ( he has many times over the years!) I am sure it would keep small children out, too! Works like a charm!!

Disappointed with the quality, purchased 3 and only 1 of 3 works properly, the other 3 are very hard to get to open even when the combo is right, very disappointing, I have come to expect much more from exoterra
