The product description doesnt need to be repeated - it is as described. This strip does not have a surge protector, and that might make it acceptable for cruise line use (depending on the cruise line - do your own due diligence). There have been a number of interpretations of what is acceptable by different cruise operators, and depending on how the power is generated on the ship (some ships use a Delta wiring approach, with no neutral line, and two hot 60VAC lines) and what their rules are, some cruise lines could conceivably object to the fact that it has a cord. Contact your cruise line for their rules about customer supplied power distribution strips. There are a large number of attractive features in this power strip, starting with the flat input plug (which is unfortunately not rotated at 45 degrees). This obviously eliminates an interference with nearby furniture. The white color will blend with many surroundings, and the relatively small size is useful not only for cruise ships, general travel, and dorm rooms, but also for home or office use. This power strip does NOT any type of surge or basic overload protection included. The USB charging outlets merit clarification: 1) The USB output for all four USB outlets is a TOTAL of 15.5W (3.1 A current); please note that power capacity could be largely used up by one USB-C outlet at full power. 2) This is an iSmart charger, which means it automatically detects the optimal charging needs of any attached USB devices.

Absolutely love this. We used for a receptacle behind a chair. Looks and works great. Will buy another one to use on vacations.
