Greater than one weekJust to set the stage, I spend about 4-5 hours each weekend washing my car and doing a mini-detail in between full details every 4 months or so. I am very picky about the tools I like and have tried a lot of products. The wheels are a particular place of concern for me because they are one of the dirtiest parts of the car and hard to clean. I have the bigger version of this brush and it turned out to be just a little too big for some of the spaces between spokes on my wheels. The mini fits in these gaps much better. It is also great for getting the inside of the wheel. I highly recommend this brush in combination with a good wheel cleaner.

> 3 dayI have a lot of wheel brushes and I thought that I may have made a mistake getting the mini and paying nearly double what I pay for one from the auto store. I couldnt have been more wrong, you cant compare this to a $7 one you can buy locally. Like I said I have used similar products from the auto store only to have them to bend, lose the rubber protective tip and leave me not that impressed. They soon end up in a pile with the rest of the unused wheel brushes. I really like how it feels when in use, sturdy wire in the middle and nice wooden handle, it has a high quality feel to it. It didnt bend when in use and due to how sturdy it is, it allows you to hit some hard spots. On wider rear wheels (tires are 275/35R19) I was at its limit to get to the back edge of the wheel when cleaning the barrel, so you may look into the longer version if you have to clean wheels of this width. However, on the front wheels (font tires are 245/40R19) it seemed to be perfect. Also, the smaller size allows you to navigate around the back side of the spokes of the wheels easily too, Overall, I finally found a wheel brush that works very well at cleaning those pesky spots on the inside or the wheels. It makes my life easier every time I have to use it and I will look into the larger version soon too.

> 3 dayIm a huge car detailing geek that tries to take the absolute best care of the outside and inside of my cars. I have found that the best way to clean wheels is to either use a relatively firm bristled brush (if the wheels have caked on dirt/dust) and/or a household dusting brush (does an absolutely wonderful/fast job cleaning up brake dust except for when there is caked on dirt). This brush does an excellent job removing dirt from wheels, particularly the various nooks and crannies in wheels - the disgn of the brush makes it very easy to get in the hard to reach spots and the hilt (for lack of a better term) is a nice touch to keep your hands clean, although a bit silly in my opinion since I manage to get splatter on my face when I clean. I wouldnt use this as my only wheel detailing brush though since the tip of the brush has a plastic cap rather then bristles. Because of this you have to use the edge of the brush to clean which is difficult with the hilt guard (since the guard is only partially ineffective this makes it seem even sillier, but Id rather keep the guard and have bristles on the tip rather than lose the guard). The other mark against the brush is that I feel like the bristles are a touch too soft. They clean tougher dirt than what a duster can handle, but arent as effective as a stiffer bristles brush on the tougher bits. I havent tried using the brush on anything aside from wheels and exhaust tips (which its excellent at!), but Im sure the design will come in handy cleaning the engine while the previously mentioned shortcomings will present themselves again. If you are looking for one brush that can cover a number of tasks I highly recommend this one. However, for those that are looking to cover all the bases, as they would be, there are some gaps left by the design. Regardless of this, I would still recommend that every retailer have one of these!

04-06-2025Exactly what I needed. My wheel spokes are too narrow for the brush I originally got to clean. This gets inside very easily and it is soft enough that it isnt scratching.
