Very cute quilt patterns, but she only allows for single fold binding. If you want a double fold binding, you will need to purchase additional fabric. Also, her steps for making blocks are written using a paragraph rather than bulletpoint style. It would be much easier to follow if she had used bullet points. I ended up making a copy of the pattern, then highlighting each step in the paragraph as I finished it. But I do recommend the book.

I have made lap quilts from this book and three others. The directions and patterns are easy to read and the quilts go together easily. I love all of the books and videos by Donna and her staff on YouTube

Love all the patterns. Just a hint that most fabric is not 44/45 wide anymore and if you do 2.25-2.5 inch borders you will need more than one yard. Great patterns if you have a stash because normally have more than one yard in stash

These 3 yard quilt patterns are genius! You can use any 3 yards of fabric to make a nice sized lap quilt (46 x 60) and the books also contain instructions to increase to a twin or a queen/king size if you want. Everything is laid out simple and easy, and the method theyve developed to strip piece quilts instead of sewing individual blocks is ingenious! I made a quilt top in 3 days and Im a beginner at quilting. Highly recommend these books, and you can also find Fabric Cafe on YouTube with instructional videos. Its a small business and the owners are so nice!

3-yard quilt patterns are easy to read & follow.. each design creates a lap size quilt, but clear directions on how to make them larger are with each design in the book.
