Pleasantly surprised - quilts are simple but visually pleasing and will work up quickly in a variety of fabric combinations. Fabric Cafe has the right recipe ... medium, light and dark values placed cleverly for maximum impact.

I, a beginner quilter, was able to follow the instructions and actually make a quilt for my 4 year old granddaughter, that she choose from the book! I was amazed it turned out so cute.

I love these patterns. They are quick and easy. I make a lot of “throw” size quilts for our quilt guild charity. The problem with these patterns is that they depend on 45” fabric…which is not what is usually available in shops. They rarely make 45” fabric anymore. I usually get 1-1/4 yards instead of the 1 yard called for.
