Family Tree Explorer 9 PREMIUM - Genealogy software - compatible with Windows 10, 8.1, 7 - compatible with the international GEDCOM format

I was able to download and convert a family file. It has a PDF working manual with it that seems easy enough. The software has a bunch of different/untouched controls. Altogther, it seems I will be rather satisfied.

Worked for what I needed.

PC HDU had to be replaced, tried to reload software and it will not register as software already utilised, no email address or website URL to get help so cannot use software. A 100% waste of money

Program would not load due to missing DLL. Item is being retirned

I have a background in IT, also have used several on-line family tree building site. This software is not user friendly nor is any support. I would not recommend this to any one. What I really was looking for is a software product for creating a family tree book using information from on-line web site.

Complicated; locked my system up twice; looped while installing; too many German instructions; difficult to instale.

This is the most ridiculously convoluted family tree software I have ever attempted to use. Sadly it was a Christmas gift and I cant seem to get it returned. I have years of experience doing genealogy and using a couple types of software. I gave it an honest try, spending about 12 hours entering one short family tree and trying to print and it is simply a great big disappointment. I was hoping I could figure out how to make the best of it but in the end I WOULD NOT BUY THIS OR RECOMMEND IT. My gift giver meant well but wasted their money. It really makes me feel bad but this is just unusable.

This is the most exasperating piece of software Ive ever tried to use, beginning with the installation and through the actual use of the product! The finished product is definitely not to my satisfaction as it in no way mirrors what I had with the old Generations file .uds file extension. This is a gedcom environment and I assumed it would make things easier. But even with all my computer training and certificates I found that it requires a mighty sophisticated use of visual basic and other things in order to even get your old files into the gedcom environment, probably becauses seller dont want you to be able to export to their product. At least thats what my experience has taught me. If Im wrong, someone please set my straight.

It takes some playing to try and figure out how to program people in.
