> 24 hourI used this for my PS5, along with my heat sink and this is a purchase that I am so glad I made. Added so much space to my console. I have downloaded so many games and barely scratched the surface of the 2TB. If I was to fill it up by some miracle, I probably would buy another one but for now, I am satisfied with this.

> 24 hourSo far this drive is fast and reliable. I didn’t put it in a PS5 but rather my laptop. I can actually see a speed difference.

> 24 hourAs the title says I bought 2 of these for the PS5. One for me and for a gift. And Im happy to say after running them for a while I have not had any issues what so ever with this brand of M.2. Heck if the PS5 is to be correct this thing is faster then some of the other top end M.2s with the read speed. I have attached a photo showing what I got. 6300 on the read.

> 24 hourI bought this kit due to reasonable price and the fact it provided everything I needed to upgrade, including instructions on the process. A few quick notes: 1. Before swapping drives, back up your PS4 to the USB drive and transfer to your computer (to make room for the install file). Once you install the drive and set up the PS4, you can go back to backup and restore using the USB drive and restore your saves and profiles for the PS4 (including guest accounts). 2. Download the full version of the system update, not the smaller file, as your PS4 will not recognize it and you will think youve just bricked your PS4. 3. This drive, though not an SSD or SSHD, is still faster than the factory HDD. I am speaking for the first gen PS4, I cannot say if it is faster than the PS4 Slim or PS4 Pro. 4. I have thirteen games currently installed on my PS4 after updating my HDD and still have 1TB and a little extra left. This absolutely helps when you hate deleting stuff just to make room for new games, especially when you have a lot of DLC or its a game that has had massive updates. 5. There are faster drives out there (SSD/SSHD) that are more expensive as well. This would be the budget option as far as storage is concerned. If you dont need the whole kit as I did, then you can spend less by simply buying the drive itself. I do appreciate that it comes with a casing and cable so that I can repurpose my old drive as a portable storage drive.

> 24 hourworks mint once installed. super easy to remove the drive and install the new one, the trick is the software update part. On the web page that the included pamphlet sends you to, there is a download option right at the top of the page for the current update. This is not the file. This file is about 300,000 kb, the file you want for the install is further down the page, nearly the bottom. The file size for this is about 800,000 kb. You also have to create a couple of folders and move the file to the folders in the included memory stick, using your own personal computer. You need to do this first before you try updating the files from the memory stick into the newly installed drive. The details of this are all included in the pamphlet and easy to follow. Once the format is righted on the stick, exactly as stated in the instructions, install is a breeze. The other pain is having to reinstall all of your game data disc by disc or from the download store as a digital file before you can install all of your saved game data from a memory stick or the cloud. Playstation really dropped the ball with the default memory of just 500 gb, especially with all these new games coming out and the gigantic worlds. Having installed this first before I ever bought or downloaded any games at all would have been the move.
