Greater than one weekWorked perfect! Bought these to hang a header board for interior barn doors. I predrilled into the header board and slightly into the studs. These went in easily using my cordless drill with the supplied driver bit. The header board is extremely sturdy. My header board is 1 inch thick. I definitely recommend these. Great fastener.

> 3 dayThese screws are fantastic. Im building a pergola and was using 3 1/2 inch Pozidrive screws, and since I didnt have a drill bit long enough to drill a 3 1/2 inch pilot hole, the screws would start camming out and stripping once they went in past a few inches. I picked up these structural screws which use a spider drive. They are flawless. Even at 4 1/2 inches, NO cam out issues, WITHOUT pilot holes. Incredible. And the wide flat head works like a washer. Like the box says, these pretty much can replace 3/8 lag screws + washers. Awesome. Flat black color looks very clean too.

> 3 dayThis fastener is easy to use and for the most part seemed to do the job. However, I needed 48 fasterners to accomplish my project. When I opened the sealed box I found only 46 fasteners. Frustrated and with time running short, I simply ordered another box of 50 to get the additional two fasterners required. When the second sealed box arrived, I opened it and counted the number of fasteners. Again, I received only 46 fasterners in a box clearly marked 50 screws. Finally, e-mail was sent to FastenMaster for their explanation. Two weeks later ... no answer. My suggestion? Try another brand/syle. They are out there, and from my experience they might even work a little better. If you choose to use this product, be prepared for a possible 8% shortage.

> 3 dayThese used to be my favorite fasteners for wood projects. Very good. Easy to drive, nice mostly flat head. However I have found other fasteners I like better that are cheaper. (spax)

> 3 dayScrewing up through the top plates is much faster than those damn hurricane clips; plus it puts the uplift force closer to the plywood face where it belongs. Brilliant yet simple innovation here.

> 3 dayDrives like a champ. Way easier and faster than the 3/8 bolt it replaces. Hoping the engineers did their homework because these fasteners are too good to believe.

> 3 dayIf you work on big boy projects, sometimes you need big boy parts, and these screws are the real deal. Bought my initial pack at Lowes as I was working on my deck.I went back when I ran out, and, of course, found out they were out of stock. When I turned to the clerk behind the Pro Service Desk for help, his reply (and I kid you not) was, Cant Help Ya Buddy and sat back down. And, big box stores wonder why people shop online. So, we ordered the screws online. They are made in the USA, and if you are needing to brace some 6 x 6 or other large deck lumber, these are going to save you time and money. I also use them on the ledger boards because they screw in flush to the board, and I can put my joist hangers over the screw if necessary. I like the fact they are thin, so they dont crack the boards, but have the strength of larger screws. And, I buy USA where I can.
