If you have used other laminating products then the headline makes sense. If you are new to laminating, here is the why of the headline. Most of the other laminating products that I have used have at least one of three bad characteristics. The products smell terrible when you heat them up. (They do not smell a little bad. They smell so bad that you have to open a window or do the laminating outside.) Many of the products are so thick that the lamination distorts the writing underneath the lamination. You have to choose between the amount of information and the visibility of the information. Finally, some of the products will either bubble, deform, or break down in some way when subjected to repeated use. This product does not suffer from any of these. I do a lot of playing of games and game testing. Some of the products that I get from game designers to test are not done as high quality versions. A single slopped soda can ruin the entire game. I used the first batch of these to laminate the rules and some of the charts. They were all completely readable after laminating. Then, during the very first play test, one of the gamers knocked over a Big Gulp (32 oz of sugary death) onto the table. It was still a mess to clean up, but the game was intact after a rinsing down. My daughters and I recently purchased a laminating machine (Scotch brand) because of the good price. Weve used these to laminate morning and afternoon chore instruction sheets and some recipe cards (which I then cut). The quality is perfect. They appear to be heavy duty for when youre laminating something that will be used often. The pouches are clear. Im not sure that I can expect more than that (good price, good quality, see thru). I dont see any cons to using the Fellowes brand pouches. Im not sure that well use 100 of them quickly, so maybe a smaller package would be better for most people, but having the extras on hand doesnt hurt. If youre laminating smaller items that you then need to cut, my advice is to buy smaller pouches rather than use scissors to make the item smaller. Its just nicer looking. Since this is the only size we had, I thought Id give it a try. It works, dont get me wrong, but smaller pouches is just more ideal.

Great laminating pouches. We use these for a recipe 3 ring binder, to keep our printed pages clean.

Im not convinced that I would purchase these again, as they feel a little flimsy compared to the last packet we purchased (via another brand). The 3mil for some reason feels thinner, but I cant figure out why. They will work for some of our purposes, so Im not planning on returning them unless I receive a lot of complaints from my Managers about them.

What a fantastic find! The Fellowes Thermal Laminating Pouches are a perfect way to protect important documents, photos or other precious memorabilia. Compared to other brands the Fellowes laminate is superior. The cost, delivery speed, sturdiness and jam free product provides an amazingly clear image that is well protected especially against fading, yellowing and moisture. Ive tried other marketed laminates, but have found none comes close to the Fellowes brand. I make greeting cards with removable laminated photos that actually can be placed in a frame. No glass needed as the laminate is that sturdy and clear. The images come out sharper and more vibrant than printing to plain stock paper. My clients love the finished look. I also laminate my four leaf clovers I find. They dont fade, turn yellow or change the look of the clovers even after a few years just a beautiful clear image. Ive been using this product for about three years and am very pleased with it. I highly recommend and trust this product to use on important documents and memories for clarity and protection.
