Greater than one weekI bought two sizes for our 3 hvac returns: 14 x 30 x 1 and 12 x 24 x 1. These are well-packaged, high-quality filters. Unfortunately, the 14 x 30 x 1 filter is too large to fit. I had to crush the sides to squeeze it in. As a result, that filter did not seal properly. Although the 12 x 24 x 1 does fit properly, I prefer to buy both filters from the same manufacturer and will therefore have to try another brand.

> 3 dayIt does what it says which is to filter particles (especially those bearing viruses) out of the air.

> 3 dayI have used this brand for years and been happy with it. I noticed that with my last purchase the filter no longer fit snugly. My latest order had the same issue so I got out the tape measure. The 20 x 30 filter is no longer 20 inches wide. It is 19 3/4 inches wide. This may not seem like a big deal, but it means more dust and animal hair gets into the HVAC system. I dont know if this is just poor quality control or some kind of cost cutting measure but either way it means this is no longer a brand we can trust.

> 3 dayMy HVAC system is an odd sized unit. The 15x20x1 is sometimes difficult to find. This particular purchase fit my needs for size as well as other concerns, and it was available.

> 3 dayFantastic job filtering dust. Seldom need to dust. Try it for a month. you’ll be surprised and a little disgusted at what’s in your air

04-04-2025I like the way this filter is all-inclusive with filtering out the smallest of particles, including viruses, dust, allergens, and cleans up the air, put out by the furnace blower.

> 3 dayIve been buying the Filtrete MPR 1500 Ultra Allergen filters for years. I will likely never go to another type of Filtrete, not to mention a different brand. If anything, I may go up a level or two if I ever anticipate lengthy construction projects in my home. However, I can say without a doubt that I feel my 3200 sq ft home has noticeably cleaner air. Ive even had a slip of the mind and didnt change the filters for over four months before. Keep in mind, thats NOT a good idea. Nonetheless, the filters kept working fine and I noticed no degradation to my HVAC and during regular maintenance, there were no issues in my home system. Again, I strongly advise replacing them every three-ish months or less. Id say that during normal operation, one should inspect the filters at least once a month. These filters are not restrictive whatsoever. I havent noticed any issues in my heating and cooling for as long as Ive used them--including when I accidentally went over in their lifespan. Ill keep buying these for as long as they make them and quality is maintained! Unlike some other reviewers, I have never had an issue with quality. Id also like to point out that I do not care if the cardboard around the filters has tiny imperfections. Its hidden and has never affected the air quality or function of my system whatsoever. Buy these! You wont regret it.
