These are really rugged casters. They have two races of bearings on the vertical spindles, and each wheel is supported by two bearings as well. The locks keep the wheels from rotating and also prevent the spindles from swiveling. These are an excellent value. Since four casters support over half a ton, and the 3-inch wheels roll over small irregularities with ease, I can now move my milling machine wherever I choose to work. Update: I’ve now purchased a second set. I almost ordered a larger supply, but Amazon shipping is so fast, I decided I didn’t need to. I find myself looking around for heavy things that could benefit from being on casters.

Seem very heavy duty, have a set on a vacuum cart I built and they roll smooth as butter on my shop floor!

I built a rolling platform to house all of my audio/visual equipment. The total weight of the system is about 1100 lbs. and is carried by eigh (8) t of these casters. When I have to move it, the system moves both effortlessly and quietly. I am very pleased, I highly recommend these casters, and I easily give them Five Stars!!!

Great caster for the price

Got here fast and worked perfect for what I needed.

We had a heavy steel shelving unit with four adjustable shelves. When it cane time to install a thick rubber flooring it required an hour or more to clear off the shelves and move them! So we took this opportunity to purchase this set of casters. These casters were mounted onto the bottom of the shelves using a 2x4 rectangle base. The rubber on the casters keep the shelves from slipping in the floor and roll easily even with 200 pounds of weight. The locks can be easily tapped into place with my toe part of my shoe.
