Fixcracked for Touch Screen Replacement Parts Digitizer Glass Assembly Ipad 4 + WiFi Antenna Cable and Professional Tool Kit (White)

Installing the new digitizer glass from this kit was fairly easy. The worst part is disassembling the broken iPad first. Watch lots of videos on YouTube before considering this repair. Those tiny glass shards get EVERYWHERE, and they are extremely sharp, so tape it up (packing tape, not scotch tape) and have a vacuum ready. I managed to carefully remove the broken panel without damaging the WiFi antenna or home button ribbon, but I really appreciate the peace of mind knowing they’ve included replacements in this kit just in case. Since a repair shop would charge about 7 times more than the price of this kit, it’s well worth it, if you’re able to do it successfully.

Ive been trying to put in the home button connecter in the iPad for at least an hour now and so i thought i might just be doing it wrong but then i connected the old one and it was just fine so then i tried again and it wouldnt fit. Dont buy this product find one that will actually work.

I usually get nervous buying screens as they may not work all that well, BUT this screen set was absolutely amazing. Everything you need in one box. Highly recommend!! Thank you FixCracked for taking the time to ship quality products. I will definitely be back to order more.

Purchased this product and it worked just fine. Saved me over $100 to have someone else do it.

This is garbage. I should have known better. Believe the bad reviews. Took it to a repair shop and they laughed at me for trying to use this garbage.

This screen replacement came with all the tools needed to install it. it was very easy to install and fits properly. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that I wish it was a little thicker in the middle where it sits on the LCD

I replaced my screen while back ago & forgot to leave a review. Since I was replacing the original due to a couple corner cracks I decided to go with white & it looks great. The screen is just like the original. Many complain about screen color and clarity but this product is guarantee just like the original. Very, Very happy.

I bought this product because my toddler broke the ipad screen. Im pretty technical and have taken apart electronics and computer since the 90s, didnt think there would be many problems. First the instructions were a bit hideous. Only showing you how to open and remove the cables. I figured it must be easy to put it all back together since there was no back together instructions. I watched some you tube videos as well to make sure I had a gasp on things. The new screen arrived. I was excited. I removed everything and connected everything back up. Was happy it turned back on and I was happy when I pressed the home button. Then I quickly realized I had no touchscreen. I trouble shooted in every way. You tube videos, searching this products reviews, and every way possible. I couldnt figure out the answer. I did read how sometimes the digitizers are just bad. So I contacted amazon and got a new one sent over. A few days later I got the new one. I hooked it up, and just like before, the touch screen didnt work. UGH! I was so frustrated!! I had hooked up the cracked screen and the touchscreen worked, so I knew it was the screen. I emailed the company and was told I had to be technical. While I am, I emailed back again and was told to use the wipes to wipe off the digitizers flex cable. Okay, theres no place anywhere that it says to do this. Not even replacement videos! I get another replacement, wiped the flex cables before installing and now everything worked! Im giving 3 stars because I have mixed feelings. Im very very happy that this product does work, and that the customer service from Amazon and Fixcracked was wonderful. I am very very disappointed and just shocked that a key point to wiping the flex cable is no where in the instructions. I have a toddler and it wasted so much time away from here to deal with a simple step. To say I have to be technical is kind of insulting when this step wasnt even in the instructions. In fact theres no installation instructions at all.. just how to take it apart!. At last, I hope this review helps someone who is smart enough to trouble shoot by reading reviews.

I had recently gotten my wife the latest iPad to replace her iPad 4 with a broken digitizer. She wanted to pitch the old one in the trash but I figured for the price of this kit it was worth trying to save it. This is a great replacement digitizer with a very nice set of tools. Ive bought screen replacement kits in the past with tools so bad that the screwdriver heads were ground down so bad by the end that I couldnt finish putting it back together without hunting through my own tools for a micro screwdriver. The only tool of my own that I needed to use was an Xacto knife to help remove some stubborn old adhesive and to help peel off the new adhesives paper backing. The kit even comes with a new wifi antenna since the old one often gets damaged removing the old digitizer. Mine did too, and I never would have thought of that, so it was nice to have a new one to install. The new digitizer adhesive could be a bit stronger, as its not holding all that well in some spots but I cant really blame it. After first assembly the touch screen was not responding at all. I took it apart again and reseated the touch screen cable and reassembled. Then I found the bottom row was not responding so I took it apart again and reseated. I could tell on my 3rd attempt that I did it right as the cable contacts went into the mainboard connector further. The adhesive would likely be much stronger had I not removed it twice after initial installation. Not to mention, all 4 corners of the iPad had gotten pretty beat up over time. At any rate, we now have a fully functional iPad 4 and Ive ordered a rugged case for it, as I dont believe itll survive another drop as bad as the corners are now. Id recommend this kit and watching a couple of YouTube videos to bring your old iPad back to life.

After installing this touchscreen no longer works so I don’t know if it’s a motive product of a bolt or problems with the tablet, but it was working with a cracked screen before we changed it
