    The fluke T5600 is easy to use and relatively small. great for testing voltage and continuity.

    I work in a nasty, dirty foundry and this meter can take the abuse. I carry this meter with me all day, every day, and I have for years. Yes, it only measures to 1K ohm, and its not great for low DC voltages, but it handles 99.9% of the jobs. One thing, I wish the amp slot was a little wider, I cant get it around 00 wires. Lightweight, hardy and trustworthy! Also the batteries last FOREVER!

    Dads cheapo meter smoked in my hand when I tried testing the wall outlet voltage and then had to use a cheaper older one to finish the job. Hes closing in on 80 and dont want him getting bit needlessly. This Fluke is durable and fool proof, no offense Dad. No having to get the probes in the right sockets, turn the thing to volts and it does not care if its AC or DC and the AC current clamp/hook cant be any safer. Turns itself off even if you dont. I have used these for automated production maintenance for years, quick easy troubleshooting and takes the knocking around all day every day in the tool bag.

    Many years I had a Fluke multi-tester of this type. It disappeared and I was not able to locate the same one I had. Perhaps no longer manufactured? This t5-600 operates the same and is my go-to for electrical work.
