I bought this Reflector Dome for a Heat Emitter that helps keep my cages parakeets warm during the winter. This dome is made for emitters up to 75watts, I use a 60w so its within the working parameter of the unit. I have had good luck with it and keep it on most of the time. It does have a switch that you can operate to turn it off or on with. My only con would be that the cord could be a bit longer for more versatility. Its long enough to make it work without an extension cord but a few more feet would have made it better and safer to use. Other than that its been a good unit with a strong adjustable clamp that makes a good secure contact.

absolutely horrible. it literally exploded the bulb, smoked and everything. don’t buy it it’s not worth it. it threw razor sharp glass all over the place. we had to drill a hole in the ceiling to hang it because it got so hot, too. it’s overall terrible.

It’s okay. The clamp that comes with it seems like it was designed by someone who doesn’t understand what they’re doing, but the lamp itself is good. It doesn’t heat up to the point that it will burn you in contact like the one that I got from Walmart. All in all, if the clamp were redesigned, it would be the best bargain you’ll ever get

Truly solid feel, robust metal shade and ceramic socket, properly separated from the switch by a good 18 of cord, overall length close to 6. Even the thickness of the striated vinyl grips on the (12 gauge?) steel spring clamp gives no hint of the final price in its construction. I can only commend the manufacturer for conveying all the essentials for the best price on amazon! The only suggestion Id make is to round the ends of the tabs holding the knurled ball for greater adjustability. Hint: adjust the angle when the lamp is cold.
