Folkmanis Alligator Hand Puppet

It arrived in perfect condition, and the product itself its better then I had hoped.

This puppet is so much fun! I am a speech therapist and my students love this puppet! I can usually figure out a way to use this puppet for a variety of different language activities. This puppet is definitely one of my favorite toys because it makes my lessons very exciting and engaging for kids.

Great looking hand puppet. The real reason for the 5 star rating, though, was the reaction of my great nephew, celebrating his second birthday. While not old enough yet to operate the puppet with his arm inside, he had a ball opening and closing the mouth while repeating a new mantra: Chomp Chomp..Chomp Chomp. He loved it....so I loved it!

Was trying to find puppets to have story time for my daughter she loves all animals even scary exotic ones . The puppet is great the mouth opens real wide .Material is good quality.

This is my favorite storytime puppet! Ive had him for years, and he still looks great. This is after scores of children have pulled on his tail, twisted his teeth, poked his eyes, and done any number of things to the poor guy. Folkmanis is by far the leader in making puppets that last, and this guy is a great example. The hole to operate those huge gator jaws is big, so even someone with large hands will have no trouble. The teeth are plastic, and are always the subject of intense scrutiny from the storytime kids. Hes pretty soft and squishy, which is important for such a villainous character. Even gators need to show their softer side! There are plenty of opportunities for pretend play. I couldnt imagine doing Five little monkeys swingin in the tree without this guy. A great choice for any puppet collection.

It was a toss up between this and the more expensive, more realistic looking Folkmanis alligator puppet. So glad I went with the cheaper one-- it paid off. The scales are more irregular looking in person-- more realistic than appears in the picture. The teeth are made of a tough, rubbery plastic, which I think my 3 year old son will love. His eyes are nice and reptilian. He he has nice weight, but not too heavy, and hes constructed at the high quality of all Folkmanis puppets. I thought the tail would stick out straight in the back, giving him a good shape for swimming though the swamp, but it curls over to the side. Another view of the puppet would be nice to show this detail. Anyway, he will just swim a little crookedly and were going to have a lot of fun with him!
