Folkmanis Alligator Hand Puppet

The teeth are constructed out of rigid plastic, which are not razor-sharp but sharp enough to scratch the skin when your toddler chomps himself, friends, or anyone within reach. Nearby playmates should consider themselves warned. Otherwise the material is durable, size is acceptable for the price, product is of reasonable overall quality.

This is my favorite storytime puppet! Ive had him for years, and he still looks great. This is after scores of children have pulled on his tail, twisted his teeth, poked his eyes, and done any number of things to the poor guy. Folkmanis is by far the leader in making puppets that last, and this guy is a great example. The hole to operate those huge gator jaws is big, so even someone with large hands will have no trouble. The teeth are plastic, and are always the subject of intense scrutiny from the storytime kids. Hes pretty soft and squishy, which is important for such a villainous character. Even gators need to show their softer side! There are plenty of opportunities for pretend play. I couldnt imagine doing Five little monkeys swingin in the tree without this guy. A great choice for any puppet collection.

This is a very durable and realistic (for a puppet) looking alligator. I love Folkmanis puppets (they have the best quality). One thing that surprised me is that it only has a place for your hand in the jaw (not any of the legs). A lot of folkmanis puppets have more than just the mouths that move.

Folkmanis puppets are always beautiful and this one is no exception. We are pleased with the puppet and feel it was worth the money, a very sturdy puppet. From my observation, this puppet is slightly smaller than we expected. This is probably due to the puppet having a curved tail.

I have about 10 Folkmanis puppets so far and they are all excellent quality. My boys love them and they havent torn one yet, which is pretty amazing considering they sometimes make the puppets fight or the boys fight for the same puppet. I wont buy any other brand.

Grrr. Bought for young nephew. He likes Alligators. And it was a very nice hand puppet.

My dog is 12 and weve gone through at least 3 of these. She loves wrestling with my husband and the puppet keeps his hand and arm scratch free. These are especially great to play with puppies.
