Im really happy with the fact that I only need to use a single USB-C cable for most of my needs (this is usually a 2nd monitor for laptop when Im mobile). I was pleasantly surprised to learn how useful it is for many other things; Raspberry Pis, ODROID, but most of all, its an EXCELLENT when plugged into my phone because I get to use Samsung Dex and its nearly as good as a laptop.

Short summary: This product seems okay for use while traveling IF you’re CAREFUL with it. It’s also good if you don’t have other options. I can’t honestly recommend it for any other scenario. Explanation: The title of this product says “USB-C HDMI Second External Monitor for Laptop…” and “Premium Smart Cover” and I think that’s a little bit misleading. In the product description, you’ll notice that the screen itself has a mini HDMI port, which is different from regular HDMI. The HDMI in the product title is referring to the port you need on YOUR device. On the plus side, they offer to send you an adapter for free if you need one for mini DisplayPort or Lightning connections. I’ve reached out for mini DP and I’m waiting to hear back. I also wouldn’t describe the cover as “premium” or “smart” in any way. It’s magnetic and just fine. As for the actual device, I feel like I have to handle it the same way as I would a raw egg—it feels delicate and as if it could break very easily. They packaged it well and included a warning to be careful with it, too. I definitely wouldn’t feel comfortable tossing it in a backpack or carry-on bag unless it’s in a hard, solid case. The “premium smart cover” does not qualify for this whatsoever. I tested the display using a different computer than the one I got it for (one that has an HDMI port) and it works fine. If you’re on a budget and need the bare minimum fast, this will work for you. If you’re looking for something more long-term, definitely splurge on something more quality.

I really like it. it was was not very pricy, and simply just works. I wish the color was a little better to match my laptop monitor. The colors look muted sometimes. but for working it works great.

I recently purchased the ForHelp 15.6-inch Portable Monitor, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way. As a frequent traveler, I was specifically looking for a portable monitor to use as a Samsung Dex terminal, and this monitor turned out to be the ideal companion. First and foremost, the setup process was a breeze. With the included cables, it was truly a plug-and-play experience. I connected my Samsung S22 to the monitor, and voila! It worked flawlessly right out of the box. I didnt have to deal with any complicated configurations or technical hiccups. For someone like me who values convenience, this was a huge plus. The size of the monitor is just perfect. At 15.6 inches, it strikes the right balance between portability and usability. The screen is vibrant and sharp, delivering crisp visuals that enhance my Samsung Dex experience. Whether Im working on spreadsheets or watching videos, the monitors display quality impresses me every time. Another feature I appreciate is the monitors versatility. It not only serves as a Samsung Dex terminal but also works well with other devices. Ive connected it to my laptop, gaming console, and my wife’s iPad, and the results have been consistently excellent. The monitors compatibility with different devices expands its functionality, making it a worthwhile investment. Portability is a key factor for me, and this monitor truly delivers. Its slim, lightweight, and easy to pack in my travel laptop bag. Lastly, I must commend ForHelp for their exceptional customer service. They truly want their customers to have an ideal experience with their products. Its always reassuring to know that a brand stands behind its product and cares about customer satisfaction. In conclusion, the ForHelp 15.6-inch Portable Monitor has been a game-changer for my travel setup. Its seamless integration with Samsung Dex, outstanding display quality, portability, and versatility make it a standout choice. If youre a frequent traveler or someone who values convenience and performance, I highly recommend this monitor. Its worth every penny and deserves a solid five-star rating!

I work from home and use a 24 inch stationary monitor along with my 13 inch work laptop at home. I was looking for a portable monitor to pair with my work laptop for travel and be able to work from essentially anywhere. This monitor fits the bill perfectly. I mainly work with data so picture quality wasnt a top priority for me. As long as the characters are clear and the screen is bright enough thats all I need. This monitor far exceeds those requirements. The picture quality is excellent. I plan to request they send me the lightening adapter (which they say they will send for free) so I can use it with my iphone to mirror whats on my phone to a larger screen. Ill then use it on long haul flights to watch movies or shows Ive downloaded and will not have to travel with an Ipad in order to watch movies on a larger screen. For what I paid ($79) this was a great investment. Most of the similar monitors i saw on Amazon were at least $100. Three things Id wish for in this monitor: 1) I wish they supplied a storage bag for the cords. Each cord comes in a ziplock style plastic bag that you can use for a while but would be nicer if they had a dedicated bag or pouch that stored all the cords together for easy travel. 2) The case is a bit flimsy. It is magnetic so the magnet holds it firmly to the back of the monitor which is metal, but the screen is not magnetized so the flap that folds over the screen can easily come off. The edges of the screen are metal so the edges of the screen are held on to the case but its not firm and I could see the case becoming dislodged during travel. The case is also relatively soft, so Id be careful with putting it in a bag with other devices or hard items without padding because the screen could easily get cracked. I wish the case had some sort of a clasp or elastic cord that fits around a button to make it more secure. 3) I wish the entire unit were a bit lighter. I havent traveled with it yet but it seems like it will add at least a couple of pounds to my carry-on. This point isnt a dealbreaker for me because I think its a substantial well made monitor but it would be icing on the cake.

Ever since covid hit, I have worked remotely. We homeschool our kids, too (and did prior to covid). This allows us to have some great flexibility for travel. However, our love for travel has left me in less-than-ideal situations for work because I like to have more than a single laptop screen, and my work laptop is small. Finally, I decided to get a portable monitor. LIFESAVER. It is bigger and clearer than my work laptop display. Im not a big gamer, but I tried one to see how it worked, and it was crystal-clear. Yes, it only arrived yesterday. However, I have tested it on multiple devices, including an iPad, a MacBook Pro, a ThinkPad, etc. It has worked without any drivers on Windows, iPadOS, MacOS, and Linux. I havent tried my phone and I have no reason to do that, anyway. While I havent owned it for very long, I recommend this thus far!

Not the best video quality but gives you a second monitor for a great price. Audio also isnt the best but the price and ease to install cant be beat. Its a plug and play type of monitor. Make sure cable is completely pushed in

I loved my portable monitor so much, I bought more as gifts! It is so lightweight and easy to carry, whether it is to the coffee shop or on an international trip. It is a bit larger than my laptop screen, which is very convenient. I work remotely and start feeling like a recluse all day in my office. This monitor allows me to take my work outside, even if just to my dining table. It makes all the difference in my mood and energy, plus the extra working space helps me be more productive. Its the little things! I did have a bit of trouble receiving signal at first, but that was quickly resolved. For some reason, when I tried using a usb-c to usb-c cable I had lying around at first, my monitor received no signal. I reached out to the support team for assistance troubleshooting and they responded right away and were so helpful! Once I connected the monitor with the cable that came in the package, all issues were immediately resolved. Took about 5 minutes to resolve, so very painless.
