15-04-2025Unbelievable precision, makes routing fun. I am a true believer in Freud now, after going through a few of the cheaper options on amazon, I gave this one a try and will never go back. I used this bit to make a straight edge on 1.5 inch thick slab , and I have to say it was the sharpest edge Ive ever seen. It easily handled itself even when I tested it with a good 1/4inch edge over bottom guide. It was so smooth that I barely had to secure the bottom guide slab, which often required several clamps when I used inferior bits.

> 3 dayGood bit. Works great for flush cutting plywood in situations where you dont want to burn where the guide rubs. Like all Freud bits, came with quality carbide and a smooth bearing

> 3 dayI used these to trim edge of sink Cut out to make flush with sinks in butcher block projects. I normally use two bits we have been doing it for 7 years the same way, jigsaw cut to about 1/4 and trim the final flush with the bit. I bought these in hopes of saving g some money from the other brand we use. Well lets just say they creat more cost then ever. The first one dulled befor doing one side of the sink. I thought of they just arent that sharp. I places the second bit and the bearing blow, chipped the sink and took a chunk out of the edge. I had to remove the sink, get it glazed and then we had to reinstall split the difference and ended up with a 1/8 revile instead of a flush set edge. I tossed the other bits as amazon would not let me return them. Stick to good brands the cost of a good bit is worth more then you think.

14-04-2025Used for the first time this weekend to trim some 1 1/2 plywood table top for my work table. It cut great. Looking forward to using it for some pattern cutting during a future project.

Greater than one weekIts a really long bit, so vibration is hard to manage, but, surprisingly, it works really well. I use it as a poor mans jointer and it works well.

> 3 dayIf you have smaller pieces that are about an 1 inch thick it should be fine. I was trying to flush trim some walnut that was 1.9 inches thick and it was so scary since it wanted to send it flying and it did twice. I would recommend getting a spiral fluted bit instead even though its 5 times the price it will be a much cleaner cut and not try and throw the wood out of your hands.
