Ive started storing organic kitchen scraps in the freezer so I can compost them once a week when the compost guys come to my neighborhood. Everyone hates cleaning out the refrigerator. Long story short - these Fridge Deodorizers work. On to the story: My husband and I purchased a stand-up freezer for the garage and I began to fill the freezer with my bargain meat finds (NY strip steaks, half ham, whole chicken, etc). Unfortunately, there was a power outage while we were out of town and the freezer did not turn back on once power was restored. Without getting too graphic - the smell was nauseating. Once the fridge was cleaned up, every time I opened the freezer that smell was there. My husband said that the smell was gone, but I was the one who found the bloated, so gross meat, that the scent will forever be etched in my nose. I purchased these deodorant packs as a last-ditch effort to clean that smell out of the fridge and they worked. It did take a few months but that smell is gone. We did have a fridge repair guy come out and he couldnt find anything wrong, but my husband thinks he replaced a circuit board as the fridge was brand new. Time will tell, but the only items currently in that freezer are various types of bread.
