Jessica Tandy acting is fantastic. Other actors also gave great performance. Also shows what happens to small train stop towns when trains get used less.

I needed a movie about possible pyschological disorders for school, so this worked great even though my group decided not to do this movie.

Wonderful movie, a true classic that never goes out of style. I would recommend it to anyone and a perfect date movie.

This movie does not disappoint. Based on the book by Fannie Flagg, the characters come to life in ways that are both touching and amusing. The casting is superb and no one actor takes the stage over the others. A solid ensemble start to finish. Perfect segues from the 1980s to the 1930s and back again. Terrific.

I would actually rate this film 4-1/2 stars...just shy of 5 Stars...its THAT GOOD! Jon Avnets adaption of the Fannie Flagg novella is exceptional to say the least. From the set design, to the locations, to the casting, acting, directiing, cinematography, etc. - this film couldnt have been made better in my opinion. It elicits warm feelings of a simpler time and does it as well as any movie has before or since.
