> 3 dayIf you’re looking for a speedcuber review, keep scrolling. I’m still working on getting my solve times under a minute and learning CFOP, so this review is definitely from a beginner’s perspective. I bought a well-known smart cube a few weeks back after struggling to grasp the LBL algorithms on my own and 10/10 would recommend a smart cube for any beginner who just want to learn to solve, but I was quickly frustrated that I couldn’t get my solve time below a minute and started to analyze what I liked and didn’t like about the cube and the top things were the magnets and the lack of adjustable tension. I decided to go with a Gan Cube for further practice and this one stuck out because of the adjustable magnets. Being new to cubing, I knew I didn’t like the strong magnets in my smart cube, but I also knew I liked magnetic cubes. The stock magnets feel weaker than the ones on my smart cube and probably would have been fine, but I swapped out for the weakest magnets anyway just to get a feel for things. After several solves, I landed on the mid-strength magnets (yellow) and set about adjusting the tension. I was initially wary of how light this cube is compared to my smart cube, but after adjusting everything to my liking, I warmed up to it. It’s easy to swap out the magnets and tension nuts and to use the included tool to tighten/loosen things up. I highly recommend this cube to anyone who is unsure what they want in a cube or who is picky about hand feel. You won’t be disappointed.

> 3 dayGot into cubing in 2012 and fell out of it in 2015 before the magnetic cubes took over. Just recently picked up the hobby again and thought to give gan a try. Took it out of the box and couldnt believe the difference from this gan to the zhanchis and weilongs I used to use. Its so fun to solve. I just got a big PB on it, which I didnt think would be possible with a 5 year break from speedcubing. Totally recommend.

Greater than one weekNice cubes, bought on stickered and one stickerless, could have been better if I wasn’t sent an open boxed item...(the stickerless cube)
