> 3 dayThe OEM strap made 8 years, at least. This one didn’t make 2 with less average monthly use. Not impressed at the quality. Would not recommend

> 3 dayThe elastic on the strap that came with my 305 died off after a couple of years. At first, I had to tighten it a little occasionally - then pretty soon I was tightening it a little more every time and it would still fall down. This one is just like the original and fits the HR strap - tada! no more HR strap around my waist. My main advice would be not to struggle with the old crappy elastic for months - just go for it. If youre here already and reading reviews, youve realized you can replace the strap - youre nearly there.

> 3 dayThese let you replace just the part of the chest strap that eventually wears out without having to purchase an expensive new Garmin strap. These, plus new batteries, have kept my strap going for years of nearly daily use.

> 3 dayIts a strap. Cheaper than a new HRM. Not sure what else to say about it -- you know if you need one. Having a spare strap is also a good idea in case the other one is still damp. The battery on the new Garmin straps lasts forever, and the plastic sensor piece washes easily and seems immune to wear. The strap, however, loses elasticity or gets crumpled in places. Easy enough to replace, and the price for a new one is quite reasonable. (Garmin isnt usually known for inexpensive accessories, but this is the exception.)

> 3 dayTheres nothing much to say about this, as its just like the original that came with the monitor. I like the fact that its softer than the Polar straps are, as its more comfortable. Granted, these dont seem to hold up as long as the Polar ones do, but they are so reasonably priced that its no big deal, assuming youre paying the roughly $8 that I usually do.

> 3 dayI think theres a ceiling as to how good a strap can be. I mean, its a strap. Anyway, my original one was about 4 years old and I had stretched It out to its limit. This replacement is identical and is snug. Im sure it will last at least as long as the first. Good price and good product.

> 3 dayAfter eight years my original band was running out of adjustment. This one appears to be an exact replacement for that.
